There are so many things wrong with this place I don't know where to begin. I guess the owner would be the logical choice. I had the displeasure of meeting her while on my last visit here and was thoroughly disappointed with her lack of customer service. Debra George was loud, rude, and thought her food was the best thing since Gordon Ramsey. Well, maybe it is, for his dog. The place is loud, and maybe Deb's should invest in some carpet to help muffle the sounds. The food, well it was hard to tell what was frozen and what was canned. Occasionally Occupy Burien (Discover Burien) hosts events for the city there, but I cannot imagine why. In closing, we will not be returning to this establishment nor would we recommend it to anyone with their taste buds still in tact.

AMAZING!!!!!. We have eaten here several times and we have had a wonderful experience each and every time. Twice we have had the pleasure of having George as our server and I have to say he goes above and beyond just service with a smile. He truly has the best personailty and makes our experience so memorable and we are smiling the entire time we are there and still smiling when we leave. The food is always so wonderful and I love the atmosphere. We have never had a bad experience here and as I read some of the reviews from other people it is almost like they are talking about somewhere completely different....everyone has their own opinions and mine is LOVE LOVE LOVE The MARK. will go again and again.

nice atmosphere, would be 5 if it did not take so long to get your food.

Great for special events!. Wonderful experience working with The Mark Restaurant for a friend's rehearsal dinner. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we had a fantastic dinner, excellent service, and lots of creative leeway with our decorations. I would recommend this to anyone needing a great place to have a social event.

Very good!. I love Mark in Burien! It's one of the few restaurants i go to in Burien. I live super close and I normally find myself going to southcenter for good food, but this place is amazing! Their portions are pretty good sized (I normally have almost half of my meal leftover for lunch the next day) and pretty affordable. They have an awesome menu; something for everyone, steak, sandwiches, burgers, salads, nachos, and pasta amoung many others. I signed up for the email club at markrestaurant dot com (they won't let me write it right on here, sorry) and they emailed me a free meal coupon so i took a friend and she now loves the place too. I've been there 4 times now, had something different everytime and have been more than satisfied. The only place I've ever been that has had provel cheese, I am so blown away by it! DELICIOUS! Hope this helps! I highly reccommend the place!

I liked it.. I read the negative reviews and wondered if they meant the same place, so I would like to put in a good word.

The food was well prepared and very good. The prices are reasonable. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Other staff members were also friendly and efficient. I left my purse on a chair and the bus person came after me with it.

Perhaps there's been a change of management or something since the bad reviews.

Repeatedly terrible experiences. When the Mark first opened the food and the service were great. We used to go all the time, first for happy hour and appetizers and often stayed for dinner. Over the past year the food has gotten consistently worse. To give them a fair chance we've tried just about everything on the menu and each time we've been disappointed. I understand they lost the cooks who performed the excellent food preparation in the beginning and whoever is preparing the food now is just not following in the previous cooks foot steps. The service is also marginal at best. The wait staff are often unfriendly and hard to find. My guess is they are unhappy which could be due to management. There are many people who go, or used to go, to the Mark on a regular basis and it's simply good business practice when regulars are consistently spending time and money at your establishment, to make contact, smile and let the patrons know you're happy they've come in. This does not happen here. Not a good way to run a business. It's a shame this place has taken such a turn. They started out very promising.

one star is too much. not only is the food overpriced, but we (and many friends) have been treated very poorly. From the couple who weren't served because of the way they looked-they finally had to get up and walk out without even be asked for a drink order- to the time we were scowled at by the OWNER when we sat down at the patio to have beers and declined to look at menus, these people are in the wrong business!

Excellent Food in Burien!. downtown burien is pretty cute, and we stumbled upon this place when we were visiting a friend, had a great steak sandwich, beer and it was very friendly, and a nice spot inside. The place looks like it has a nice bar too, and the happy hour seemed like a good value (although didn't go).
