Great Place – Great place...the girls are always super friendly and helpful, beds are ready on time, and even as a walk-in I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes. I also had the same great experience at the Northgate location (I understand they are both owned by the same person).

Awesome tanning beds and great service – I needed a tan for my wedding, but didn't have much time. The staff at this salon was so knowledgeable and friendly. They explained all the tanning beds to me and recommended the best bed for me get a great tan for my wedding. I am so happy with the results, and I had just the right tan for my big day! I would recommend this salon to anyone who wants a tan.

Amazing Customer Service and Salon!! – I just moved to the area, and just started tanning at the Crown Hill Desert Sun Tanning Salon. I have been to my fair share of tanning salons and I thought I knew everything there was about tanning. Well i didn't. When I stopped by to inquire about buying tans, the girl went over all the beds, telling me the difference between them, and which bed would best suit my needs. And gave me so much info on lotions. Who knew tanning was so much more than just laying under some bulbs for a period of time. I walked out of that salon feeling like I just left school ha ha, but also just amazed that the girl was able to tune into what i was looking for and how to atain it. I've been tanning at the Crown Hill location for 2 months and I have never ever ever had the color I have now...and this is coming from a girl who use to live in Hawaii. I was so amazingly pleased with the whole staff. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a REAL tan.:)

Desert Scam is more like it! – If you enjoy being greeted by a group of rude and pretentious salivating vultures, then you've come to the right place. I don't know about you, but when I go tanning or to a salon of any kind I'm usually hoping for a peaceful and relaxing experience. You won't find it here....As soon as you walk in they automatically try to sell you everything under the sun and push like crazy. Worst of all they are dishonest! The first time I went in I just wanted to try them out and they kept pushing me to buy and when I didn't bite the girl lied and solf me a fake package....I found this out a few days later when I went into a different location and tried to use a "super" instead of a medium bed....and was informed that I didn't have any....and don't try fixing any problems you might have because it will be the run around from hell. I have also you also have the tendency to mystiriously lose tans so be sure to keep a close count....they probably give them to their friends.....I have worked in customer service and sales for 10 years, and I realize that they work on commissions, but these girls are over the top.....I have visited 4 different locations and had the same experience at 3 out of the 4....Looking for a salon??? Keep Looking......

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!! – I went to this location to try to get a base tan before my vacation to Central America. I informed the "Manager" (a twenty-something bimbo with the fakest tan ever!!!) that I'd never been tanning before and was apprehensive about tanning. She assured me that the beds were medium heat and I'd need at least five tans to get any sort of base. This was after she tried to sell me upwards of twenty tans.........I sat in the booth for 8 minutes. 4 hours later, while at work, I developed a horrible burn all over my body. I am a nurse and need to be able to bend, walk, reach, etc. These were all difficult things to do with the 2nd degree burns I had from head to toe. The next day, I tried to get my money back and was told that they do not give refunds. After much deliberation with the "Manager" (bronze bimbo) and after being ignored by the owner, I had to contact my credit card company to stop payment. These people have no clue of what customer service is. I only used one of the five tans that I purchased and was required to buy their goggly things for $12!!!!! They state that they are all about "safe and smart" tanning, but being completely burnt is neither safe nor smart. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They overcharge and overfry you. The try to upsell you all this lotion that probably makes it easier to burn. Desert Sun is a terribly run business.
