Bimbos Cantina

Hardcore food and booze. It's hard to pass up the nachos, especially when there's a house specialty margaritas sitting on the table. Stop by Sun and Mon when Happy Hour deals are served up all day.

Bimbos Cantina

Audibly and visually loud in a good way this Seattle classic offers a lunch combo with a burrito, 2 tacos or a quesadilla and a PBR or soda for under 6 bucks.

AWFUL service. Hair in Food. Out of control music. – I work in Capitol Hill and there are very few lunch options to be had up here. So, when Bimbos moved right across the street I was super excited. Finally something good and cheap in the neighborhood.

i couldn't be more disappointed that they are taking up valuable real estate with this place.

The service is awful. It's as if you are totally inconveniencing them by just walking through the door. When my friend asked what was it the chicken tacos, the sweet reply from the just out of bed waitress was, "It's a chicken taco, there's chicken in it". Awesome, thanks honey. I never would have guessed.

The "music" is on 11 constantly, whether there are two people in the restaurant or two hundred. It's not even music. It sounds as if someone gave their 2 year old niece a bucket and a stick and said go for it.

The food. Ugh, the food. When our chicken nachos finally came out they had, Oh, and we counted, FOUR hairs of varying length in them. When we brought it to the attention of the server he said, "Oh. I guess I'll go tell the long hair cooks to pull their hair back." Thanks dude, that would be awesome.

It's really too bad about Bimbos. The decor is KILLER. It's the coolest looking place on the the hill, but it's just too disgusting to even bother going into again.

terrible service – I went to Bimbos it was at he old location down Pine and the food and service was great. Since it has been on Pike, I have been twice and both times I've been very disapointed. The first time, friends and I were seated ourselves and we had to ask for menus. Our order was messed up and no apologies were made.No refills were given on our water. We waited and waited for our check and finally my friend had to hunt someone down to ask for it. I tried it again last night and it had a decent crowd but not terribly busy. Apparantly you seat yourself because no one greeted us.Tables were all taken so we sat at the bar and were ignored.According to the sign, there were 10 minutes left of happy hour so we stopped a server and asked for a happy hour menu. She didn't know and kept walking. The bartender ignored us,no one offered us a menu, or said "Someone will be right with you", "there will be a 15 minute wait for a table" etc. NOTHING. We finally walked out and took our business elsewhere. Customer service isn't a priorty. I have no idea how they stay in business.

The bratty attitude may be a bit shocking, but the food is tasty at this techno-taqueria. – In Short
The Mardi Gras-on-acid decor (loud music, glitter, Day-Glo and kitsch) seems an appropriate setting fort the hipster Capitol Hill clientele. The menu is a fairly standard--burritos, tacos, quesadillas--with a few quirks thrown in for good measure. To put a new spin on the traditional, try a dollop of the pungent, cumin-lime sour cream. The fresh guacamole complements rather than dominates. Most food items are made from local, organic ingredients.
