This place's prices are steep, but you get what you pay for. Everything is selected by a keen eye and arranged so beautifully throughout the store. If you're into industrial-style furniture and Danish, this is your place.

Eastside outpost of the Beverly Blvd. original. – It’s only fitting that Silver Lake locals Glenn Lawson and Grant Fenning opened an Eastside outpost to complement their older, larger, Beverly furniture boutique. Everything’s a little bit smaller here--the selection, the pieces and the price points. In addition to a few in-house couches, tables and chairs featuring the designers' trademark blend of modern and classic styles, at least half of the stock is dedicated to vintage pieces, mostly in the mid-century modern vein. The Eastside boutique also carries a more extensive selection of the small stuff: vintage backgammon sets, a collection of calipers, bronzed bookends, agate ashtrays and the like. You’re just as likely to leave with a stoneware bowl set or rosewood spindle candlestick holder as a 1960s Danish vanity. In the back, don’t miss Ivanhoe Books, a one-room operation stocked with new, rare and out-of-print art, fashion and photography titles.

Perfect local gift store with great books! – I have lived in Silverlake for 4 years but have never even noticed this store before. I think they have invested in some new signs. I'm so glad they did otherwise I would never have wandered in. It's located right next to the excellent Yolk but they stock very different items so there is no cross over. The furniture ranges from quite expensive (think $3000 for a sofa) right down to much cheaper ($175 for a set of four chairs). There is a great blend of new and vintage and the smaller gift-y knick-knacks are just as eclectic. I picked up a vintage bird corkscrew made from horn and some beautiful agate coasters. They have also opened a tiny bookstore in the back called Ivanhoe Books - the books are art and design, I know this is recently opened so I understand that some of their areas are a little shaky but it's a great start. The architecture and design sections seem particularly strong and there were some unusual fashion books and magazines too. I definitely recommend stopping in for some unusual gift ideas and they do great gift wrap on everything too!
