These Guys are Pros! – I decided to upgrade my A/V system once I moved to my new apartment. I was looking for in wall speakers and a new receiver.
I contacted a few providers I found in the web but from the beginning BHT took things more professionally. The technician - Radek - paid a visit and walked me through options, pros and cons and recommended the most adequate setup for my space layout. And it wasn’t the most expensive equipment, which often happens.
The installation was spotless. The position of the speakers was carefully measured, all connections done with precision and cables well organized. There isn’t a single piece of cable visible in my living room. The workspace was clean, no mess or dust around.
I am very happy with my HT. I still get lots of compliments from friends when I have them over for Sunday football.
Excellent Service!!!! – I had a pre-existing system that I had installed by another AV company about ten years ago. It was a very expensive system when I bought it. The system started to crap out on me. I found Bright Home Theater online, and gave them a call. I was amazed first of all by the courteousness with which I was treated, and then blown away by how incredibly knowlegeable the owner, Kerry, was about my system. Not only did he help me to get my system somewhat operational over the phone, but they very promptly got a technician out to my residence. It was a relatively inexpensive service call and I was suprised to find that the technician that came to my apartment was also extremely knowledgeable. Got the problem fixed quickly, and have had no issues yet. I would recommend these guys a thousand times over.
Cancelled on me twice! Skip them if you need service help – I called to get some help with my existing home theater set up and was initially pleased with what they said about optimizing it. I made an appointment and looked forward to getting my set up problem fixed.
I changed my work schedule to be home in time to meet their technician and waited. I got a call that day informing me that their technician was running late due to his earlier job taking longer. I understand that can happen and said since I'm home, he can come anytime that day. I received another call from them a few hours later saying the technician wasn't going to come at all and would I like to reschedule. I declined and said I'd call back after I speak to my boss about coming home early another day.
I called them back a week or so later and made another appointment, the next one being over two weeks away. The day before this next appointment (the day I'm writing this) they called to cancel again!
Wow, I get it - you don't want to make $125 per hour on a crappy service call to Brooklyn that'll take a few hours. It's okay, I understand this job wasn't big, but geez, treat the me, the customer with a little respect.
Bottom line, I wasted two days time off to get nothing done. I really wish they just would have said they don't do service calls and I would have moved on to find someone who wants my business.
Amazing Sound – I bought my Stereo from Bright Home Theater. Kerry spent two hours with us looking at different options. What amazed both me and my girlfriend was Kerry never once made us feel uncomfortable about our budget. He showed us differences in performance of speakers and amplifiers. Being able to hear the differences and knowing why helped us to make a decision.
We have been listening to music non-stop since we got our stereo and we are thrilled with the sound. I think this level of customer service is rare these days. I will by my next stereo from Kerry. Highly recommended.
Impressive and helpful – We hired Bright Home Theater do our entire apartment's whole house audio, heating/ air conditioning control, lighting control, and our home theater. These guys made the process very pleasant. The first step was meeting with the owner who simplified the process. My wife went to the initial orientation and really enjoyed herself. The owner worked with our architect directly (who in the end liked Kerry so much he now recommends them to other clients). They supplied CAD renderings and all the specifications as well as a full Audio Video overlay. Kerry worked with our electricians to install lighting control, our HVAC guys to install AC, and even helped out with a plumbing
Even better was Kerry's staff was actually commented on by the other contractors. They were very good at working with the electrician and general contractor. They never held up our job and did some remarkable trouble shooting in the field. Let it be known, these guys are pros at what they do. They ran over 300 wires in our home but you wouldn't have known it.
Once the system was in we had a few issues but they were quickly resolved and we were made to feel like we had a team we could rely on. The system has worked flawlessly.
If you are doing a major renovation and looking for top notch AV guys I can not recommend Bright Home Theater enough.
unsure about the service, but the owner is mentally unstable. rude and verbally abusive, threatening, disrespectful and misleading. not very honest and i would not let them in my business or home.

This is my mechanic who I wrote a bad review of on City Search. Unfortunately he damaged my car and now he is retaliating. This is unfortunate I have never done work for this person.
THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! – These guys were great!
It was really an easy experience. Everywhere else I went and everyone else I spoke to tried to up-sell me, but not these guys. Kerry was extremely helpful. He really put together a great system for me for even less then I wanted to spend. He really knows is stuff and makes the extra effort to help and educate the customer. He answered all my calls and all my questions (and there were a lot). He even came over to make sure the system sounded right. This is first class service all the way. I cannot say enough about them and would recommend them to anyone. The system sounds great!
First Class Service – I recently purchased a media unit for my apartment and needed a professional installer to re-install all of my audio and video equipment onto the unit. Out of pure luck, I came across Bright Home Theater while doing a search on the internet last Saturday afternoon and left a message describing my needs. Kerry, the owner called me back within a few hours and spent 15 to 20 minutes analyzing my needs, made a few suggestions and scheduled his team to install my equipment on that following Monday. Eric, Kerry's installer, showed up exactly on time when the appointment was scheduled and performed his work methodically, carefully and professionally. Eric not only was extremely knowledgeable and professional but considerate of our apartment. When he entered my apartment, he immediately noticed that we did not wear shoes in the apartment. He immediately took off his shoes and began laying out protective materials so as to not damage any of our furniture and wood floors. I was very impressed and appreciative of his consideration and awareness of our apartment. I highly recommend Bright Home Theater for anyone who is looking for a First Class, High End, Home Theater Specialist.
Best Service & Extremely Knowledgeable – My experience with Bright Home Theater began two years ago. Working with Kerry, Eric, David, and his proficient team, you can be assured you are getting a cusomize home theater experience. I live in upper Westchester and service is very important, especially dealing with the complexity of a high quality video & sound system. Two years and a number of visits later, they continue to be there and stand behind their products and services, and continue to educate you along the way. To me they are more like friends and family than a vendor. Can't recommend them more highly!
