Along with serving as the namesake apparel label's studio, this tiny NoPa spot doubles as a custom screen print shop. – Don't be fooled by the name. The working hands and faces here are busy transforming blank slates into attention-getting street wear, not telling time. Founded in owner and designer Matthew Henri's nearby garage back in the spring of 2006, the operation relocated to its current digs as demand for the brand's hoodies, shirts and accessories grew. With an aesthetic that roves from hip-hop to cerebral to skater punk and back again, the company is best known for its sharp graphics and unexpected details. Inspired by late-night infomercials, the Pyramid Shirt, for example, features an upside-down chest pocket that's as sure to lose hard-earned cash as the dubious get-rich-quick schemes its graphics depict. Along with creating and customizing the label's apparel for clients, Henri and his skilled crew also use the paint-spattered space to provide printing services to artists and designers with artwork of their own.
