Buy RIte Thrift affiliated w/ a Charity Organization? – I have shopped at Buy Rite Thrift over the years. They have a good selection of merchandise however, their prices have gone up over the years. Most people shop @ thrift stores to either save money or to help fund a good cause.I don't know why they charge so much for used ,donated items.I've seen items that are higher there than you could purchase it brand new somewhere else. The store hasn't been as good as it had been when at the Tully Road address. They seem to get most, if not all of their merchandise through donations there..

The same owners also own a store in Stockton on Wilson Way called "Superior Thrift" which is always packed with shoppers and also raking in the donated merchandise. The Stockton store refuses to accept a printed discount coupon from the online phone book for Superior Thrift yet will accept a newspaper coupon from the Buy Rite Thrift which makes no sense. It's not like they would lose anything by accepting their own coupon for DONATED merchandise. It's not like they purchase the merchandise @ wholesale prices.

Each time I asked the empoyee's( at both stores) if they were affiiated with any certain Charity they told me Cancer. I asked which Cancer foundation? They didn't know.I would ask them if it was for cancer research, cancer awareness or breast cancer awareness, etc.and still they couldn't tell me.One employee told me they were told to say Cancer if asked. One empoyee told me she was told not to tell.Since I only like to make donations to charitable organizations, I would really like to know whether or not they are affiliated with Cancer or if the store is privately owned. If they do give to cancer , I would like to find out how much goes to the cancer org.How do I find out about this place? They seem to be making quite a lot of money on donated Items. If they don't give to a charity then maybe the people donating should donate to one like " Memory Lane in the 700 block of Mchenry Ave. Modesto, Ca.They are benefiting Millers Place next door to them. Millers place is an Alzheimers daycare facilty.Such a worthy cause! You never really know when you may be afflicted with Alzheimers and may need a place like Millers place. Some people may need it sooner than they think because it seems people have already lost their minds by donating items to privately owned business's that are just raking in the money without having to purchase merchandise for their stores!

THE best Thrift Store in the Area – This is the best thrift store in the area. It is the biggest. Very clean, very organized. You can tell the employees are worked hard. They have good prices most of the time. However, they do price according to the item. So you may find a high-end name brand jacket or something, and they may want $20 for it. But at the same time, like I said, their pricing employees don't always get it right and you'll find antiques for a really good price. The clothing selection is great. LOTS of newer brands. LOTS of shoes and guy clothes/shoes as well. They even get some brand new close-out items for other stores sometimes. You could hang out at this store all the time and never get all the way through it. They are just really WELL stocked, constantly bringing in new items.

Can I give a 0 rating? – I don't know what happened to this store about a year ago as It has gone stright down hill. The floor personal don't help at all and are sometimes 'down right rude". You will find the personal talking and telling off color stories laughing with each other and it seem as though they resint it if you disturb them for some. help. The floor supervisor is rude and talks down to the customers and even correctes the floor personal in front of customers. All in all it is a very unplesent atmosphere.
