Beware of Tiramisu!! I had the worse retail experience ever in Tiramisu Salon yesterday. The receptionist Carrie booked an appointment for me to use my $89 groupon for a keratin treatment. After the treatment, she told me that I could not use my Groupon because I had been a customer 2 years ago at the salon in another county. I politely gave her my gold American Express card for which I have had since 1976. She told me that it would not be accepted. My phone battery was gone b/c I had been using internet for the previous 2 hours. Her phone would not reach over the counter, and I was not allowed back there to use the phone to call American Express. She then called the owner, she told me to write down my name and credit card number and leave, I did this. 15 minutes later, she called me and told me to come back to the salon b/c the policy was that I had to stay there. My phone then lost all battery power.
I charged my phone and called American Express. The receptionist Carrie had entered the charge five (5) times, and that is why American Express stopped the charge. It took 3 conference calls with American Express and Carrie before Carrie could understand that the charge was processed. The charge was processed with a tip included, and Tiramisu had their money. Carrie could not understand that she had the money. She did not know what to do with an approval code. It was beyond ridiculous.
This woman also called the Alpharetta police and issued a warrant for me b/c she "thought" that I had not paid even though the payment was processed. She also stated on a recording that she told me to leave the salon.
I had messages on my phone from the Alpharetta police.
The Best Salon. Any City – Here's the thing about Tiramisu: After living in New York City for four years, I still, whenever possible, wait to have my hair cut and colored at Tiramisu. Their prices are far more reasonable than NYC salons, sure, but that's not the reason. Vicki (Vicky ... Vickie ... sorry if I'm misspelling your name!) is the kind of sylist/colorist everyone wants: she's not just incredible at execution; she's also an expert at advising you (something I ALWAYS need) about what's going to work best for your face shape, hair type, skin tone.
Add to that the fact that hanging out at Tiramisu, with its full staff of fantastic people, feels like going to your warmest, most wonderful, incredibly hilarious friends' house and I can't see why anyone goes anywhere else.
