Worth checking out. – I've been to this place many times over the past several years. I've had many good experiences, some not so great ones, but for the most part, I'd say it's definitely one of the top 3 head shops in Atlanta (which doesn't say much).

I'd say most things are slightly overpriced, but it works out to be an ok deal after a 20% birthday discount.

The last several times I've been there, (in late 2010-2011)it seemed like all of their high end multi-perc glass water pipes had been sold, but not replaced. Every time I asked about this, they said they were getting more very soon, as in the next few days... but after checking month after month again they just don't seem to have their inventory back again. (Now Spring 2011)

One time I had a slightly bad experience when I went with a friend because he wanted a new water pipe and I decided to show him this shop that he had never been to. There was no one in there at the time, so he had no other customers to tend to. It was my friend's birthday, and he bought a nice couple hundred dollar water pipe at a 20% discount. The whole time the salesman was somewhat rude. After picking out a piece he was happy with, we then asked for a glass screen to go with it.- noticing that he was charging us for the screen, (every time I've bought a nice piece from there they throw in a free glass screen), I simply said that I thought it comes with a free one? He then starts to list off reasons to not do this - 1. We've been here for the last hour looking at every little piece. 2. We're "asking" for a 20% discount and they're basically doing all this for free(I thought this birthday thing was always good?) 3. The water pipe doesn't need a glass screen (Just can't agree here). Then he just finished with "whatever, just take it" All this, over a screen that cost them 20 cents max? We weren't acting rude about it, but based on his response, you would have thought we had done something to insult him.

This was probably my worst experience, and even though my friend will never come back, I just want to say that it could have easily just been one disgruntled worker, do not let it discourage you as we in Atlanta do NOT have much choice when it comes to local head shops.

I'm glad to see they don't carry fake ROOR's like some shops (Hookah-Hook Up) and other cheap products that will probably break from normal handling. At the same time, if they carried more of the high end brands, (TORO, Sovereignty, Illadelph, Sheldon Black, LUX, SYN, delta 9, ZOB) I'll admit, they may have at times had some things from these companies, but not their best stuff, and not consistently.

And like I said... The prices are just a little too steep on some things, don't let them tell you they're not making anything with a 20% discount. Only then does it become a reasonable deal.

I almost didn't want to publish a review with any bad findings as they might recognize who I am, but I'm just being honest as I would tell this review to a friend.

Good selection of products. Many artists. Fair discounts. – Straight up.

Dont go in here if you know exactly what you are talking about (high end glass buyers) you will be humiliated and told that the company's you are looking for are "just names." which is completely wrong. They told me TORO's dont sell and they dont want to carry SG. I said OK and he then proceeded to show me what I should look at instead, typical business, but not what I was looking for.

"toro's dont sell," said the male staff. FYI (Blue Rat Smokeshop on Cheshire Bridge) sold 4 of 4 7/13 TORO's for over $750 each in less than one week, FACT.

we can da du da du da da all day long, I dont respect 42 like I used to, or maybe they just cant take care of there upper end customers...funny because they have lots of $700-$1000+ dry/wet peices from artists that DONT sell and proceed to tell me things that dont add up, make sense.

Dont take any bs from these people and remind them when you go in that the customer is always right.

*PS to get a discount, more help or better hook-up, go in there flash some cash and tell them straight up that you are not leaving with out spending a few hundred dollars, they like making money. Have a grateful day.

I hope they burn in smoke – I went to 42 degrees south yesterday for the first time, bought several candles, hookah, tobacco several flavors, coal and all kinds of other stuff. I spent about 100 =/- and about an hour in the store.

The sales lady ran out of the fuel based coal but said the coal that was in the store was better as it was made of coconut, no fuel and tasted better. I never owned a hookah so I assumed she was being honest.

I got home and the coal would not light. We tried a lighter than a small kitchen torch, nothing. I went back in the very next afternoon (on my lunch break) and they refused to exhange/ refund it.

Customer service at this location is terrible. Honesty is the best policy. Will never ever shop here again.

Best Shop! – I've lived in ATL for over 15 yrs, and I've been to most if not ALL of the "head" shops in ATL. This one is definately a top 3. The prices are very reasonable, and the people are friendly, and willing to answer questions and or help. They also offer a B-Day discount, and a frequent buyer card :) After going in there twice they now always say hello and ask how things are going. They have a great selection and the quality is awesome hence the little higher prices, but you get what u pay for. Go in look around you will almost never leave the store empty-handed. Anyone that has anything but good things to say about this store is obviously not "kind" ;) or they have no idea what they are talking about.

BEST GLASS IN THE SOUTH! NOTHING COMPARES TO THEIR SELECTION. THEY HAVE MUCH MORE TOO. GREAT PRICES AND DISCOUNTS. BEST STAFF, SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND 2 ATL area loc.'s to choose from! – With the best selection of normal and headie glass why go anywhere else. They also carry all accessories you may need. It's hard to leave with nothing. They have body jewelry, glass and African art, inscense, and a lot more. It's crazy how much cool stuff is in one place. The staff is great! They can answer all your questions. They have two locations in GA. There is one in Little 5 Points and one in Athens. The original store is in MI. Don't be fooled by imitators, this place is the best!

Best Selection Of Designer Glass – This reveiw is in response to HILLBILL463's reveiw in which he says 42 is overpriced on everything. This guy is obviously, like his name says, an ignorant cracker hillbilly. 42 has the best selection of high quality pipes that are designed and fabicated to get your moneys worth. HILLBILL, STAY IN SANDY SPRINGS SMOKING YOUR FLEA MARKET PEICES PAINTED WITH REBEL FLAGS AND COVERED IN STICKERS YOU BOUGHT AT HOT TOPIC. 42 Degrees is the premier shop in Alanta.

Way overpriced, staff is rude – This store acts like they have the best glass in the city (which is highly overrated), and they don't treat people like customers. Not to mention, their glass is way overpriced, and they only offer a decent discount one day a year (on your birthday). If you are looking for a store that carries just as many, if not more, glass pipes at a great price and quality, check out Smoke 911 in Sandy Springs. Their staff is a lot more knowledgable and care about your business. They sell RooR waterpipes and other unique locally blown glass at a much better price, and I found out they will match 42 Degrees' birthday discount for anyone! Poor accessibility and hours too.
