AMAZING!! – Venuti's is the BEST! Great Authentic Italian Cuisine and great prices! You just can't beat their lunch buffet either! 3 miles long and only $12.99!! Wow! Our family loves their special events - like the Opera, Easter and the VLounge! Great people! Great time! We highly recommend Venuti's!
Venuti's Has It all! – Best Brunch I have ever had. Ladies and Gents. from 12 to 2 Venuti's has a buffet "TO DIE FOR". I am telling you, so many home made salad choices. Meatballs, so good. I had Chicken Francese, best I have ever had. I am very picky and as Lady Gaga would say "LOVE, LOVE, LOVE". lol! Very Good Food. I am telling you between Muscles, shrimp alfredo, Orichette Zambino, Calamari, seafood salad, Veal Magdalion. This is the place. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Great Food – I was so lost, this place is huge. Did you know they make the pasta fresh themselves. My server Anthony was awesome and so Hillarious. He was very professional, but had a great sence of Humor. The Chicken Franchese is "To Die For". We went into the V lounge for a great DJ Julian Jumpin Perez. We had great Old School Fun. Thank You Venuti's
Great Food – I had a great time. My food was so delicious. If your ever there during a time when they have the special Salmon over angel hair with a champaign sauce, uhhhhh! To die For! My wife enjoyed our server who was so knoledgeable. Entertainment in the lunge afterwords with a killer band. We danced and then went home to decided we wanted to go back the next night again which was a Saturday. Well Done.
SIMPLY THE BEST – My family and I went to Venuti's for the first time for what turned into a wonderful dining experience. From the Matre'd(Matt) who gave us special seating attention due to my moms wheelchair to our Waiter (Anthony) we were well taken care of. Best of all was the food. It was fantastic!
Really great Italian Food! – We went there the first time for my Birthday recently, and the food was wonderful! Everyone in the party agreed. I had the veal parmesan, and the portion was huge, I had 1/2 left over for the next day. Their sauces are seasoned well not bland, the pasta is freshly made and the bread is out of this world. Our server was very friendly, and we never had to wait long for anything. I noticed another reviewer complain about the salad portion, but my was very generous and fresh. If you love real Italian food, please try Venuti's.
NEED TO TRY IT – I eat there frequently. The buffet is Hugh. $15.00 not $37. Far from Gaudy the same designer has designed some of the top Chicago resturants with awards. All the marble and art mosaics where hand painted and shipped from Italy. This family had there clams at the taste of addision where the lines where 4 wide and 10 feet long. They had to start limiting quanity. This a true Italine family who would not even know how to make Mashed potatoes.NEVER have they served them. Salads are very large. And if you where ever to come across a snutty employe.ask for the manager..family is always there to manage and would want to address ALLconcerns. Unfortunatly there sucessful restaurant has deminished the neighboring establishments. WONDER WHO COULD HAVE WRITEN 2 VERY INACCURATE REVIEWS?
Gross – Stay away from there brunches. Food was less than average. Their clams had to be made out of rubber, definitely not worth the 20 minute wait. The food was far from being fresh. At $37 a person, I expect at least average, not at Venuti's. Service was poor, ambiance was not cozy and people were loud and gaudy. I would have been better off at a greasy diner.
Don't be fooled by the "unique" architecture on Lake street, it's just a show.
High expectations didn't pan out for snooty restaurant – The waiter RAVED about ALL the food on the menu for 10 minutes before we could order. Unfortunately, it wasn't great... it was average, at best. When we complained that the mashed potatoes were cold, lumpy, and thick (would stick for hours if you threw them against the wall), he made excuses and said they were "supposed to be that way." He didn't offer to give us new ones, or offer any apologies. The only redeeming quality at this place is the bread, which was excellent. But stay away from the salad, unless you're in the mood for just two pieces of lettuce in a bowl.
