Rude service, dishonest pricing and unprofessional behavior. – Hot and stuffy salon, bad service, dishonest pricing. Pass this place by.

I went to this salon to have several tracks put in, with a simple layering in the back. I let my stylist, Chante know that I wanted something simple and that flat edges and a natural looking blend was important to me. I even showed her a picture of me with the exact style I wanted, from about a year ago. The first thing she did was burn me with her flatiron. That was also the second thing she did. *Sigh* The salon was hot and stuffy, the chairs were dirty and stained and the stylist next to me was talking in detail about having a tumor removed. To the point that she PULLED OUT A PICTURE OF THE TUMOR AND SHOWED IT TO HER CLIENT. SERIOUSLY.

Chante didn't speak to me during the entire service, except if I asked her a question and when I finally gave in with the heat in there and asked for some water. Once she got the tracks put in, I asked Chante about if she thought if needed more volumn and she refused to answer. She said that I had been "so specific, she just did what I said and put them where I wanted them," so she had no opinion. Wow, way to check out! I asked her to curl the bottom under and asked her to tack down a huge bulge on one side. She never even picked up the curling or flat iron, told me the bulge wasn't noticable and wasn't fixable, and sent me on my way.

Then, she charged me $125 for 5 rows ($20/each) and a curl. Only, she had only put in 4 rows... I guess she thought I wouldn't notice the extra $20 charge, and the fact that my hair was straight. I got outside and immediately saw the huge knot of thread sticking out of my head and I went back in and asked her to fix it. She said she didn't know how. I asked why she had charged me for curling my hair when my hair wasn't curled and she told me she had "tried to curl it a little." What does that even mean!?! lol. I said, "okay. well, I was charged for that, so I guess we'll have to address it up at the front desk." That's when another stylist took over. She said she wouldn't curl it like I'd paid for, that she would only fix the giant knot. Fine. Then she mentions how great their reviews were. So I pulled out my phone and looked them up, and told her the reviews for price were great - %100, but the reviews for service were terrible - only %37. She yelled, "Well, how did you get here then???" She didn't say much after that, but she did curl my hair.

All in all, not a good experience. There were people there who had obviously been going there for a long time, mostly people with very short hair. Seems like that's all they're going to be good with. Terrible service. Over charged me, was rude, and did a mediocre job.

So get this!!! I left a comment on the salon's Facebook page saying that "I was overcharged and underwhelmed." They left the following response, which clearly shows their utter lack of professionalism. Plus, they talk about themselves like a customer, which is just shady:

HCS Salon: I love the service I receive there. Some people need to learn to sit in the chair, be quiet, let the stylist do their job and invest in quality hair.

I got a bad cut here last spring – I probably just had some bad luck and went to the wrong stylist (her name was Val). I have thick, curly hair that's usually easy to manage. I told her what I wanted and she didn't listen. She cut my hair with a razor, even though I and another stylist asked if that was the best tool. My hair became out of control for the first time in my life and it took a while to grow back. Should have listened to my gut and walked out.

Never Go To This Salon! – I had to go to get my weave fixed twice at this salon! Ms. Renia does not ask you want you want, she just does whatever she wants to your hair. I paid good money for 100% human hair, and Ms. Rene (Renia) ruined both sets! First, I made an appointment for 10am, and she didn't come in until 11am, cause she went shopping!!! No emergency, she just felt like coming late. Totally unprofessional and rude as hell!!!! When she finally came in she didn't even apologize for being late, and no one at the shop told me she was running late. Then she sewed the braids way too bulky, then she cut the hair in a crazy style that she didn't even ask me if I wanted. I didn't even want the hair cut at all. She put a ton of grease in it (you NEVER put grease on weaving hair, it makes it look stringy and fake) and then she cut the hair all wrong. Then she had the nerve to charge me for re-doing it (after she messed it up the first time) and then she got an attitude when I asked why she was charging so much!! Never get anything done here, especially by Ms. Rene (Renia)!!!!! Ever. Totally unprofessional. I actually read a bad review for this salon, and decided to go anyway. But, now I see that was a mistake. They don't believe in healthy hair care, I don't even think they really know how to do hair. I know more about hair than they do, and I'm not a cosmetologist. And, yes, the stylists hair really do look jacked up there. After she put in the relaxer, now my hair looks so thin! It looks like I'm going bald! I've never had this happen to me EVER!!!! I just want to cry. I'm hoping it will grow back, but it's definitely been damaged by her "assistant" who ripped most of my hair out while trying to "detangle" it. I just had to warn others about going to this salon.
