Great food, but the service could be better. – Place was dead when we got there yesterday about 5:30p. Only about 4-5 other seated tables. Were seated quickly, but the wait staff was slow to respond, even though we saw many just "hanging around", watching tv at the bar. Our booth had this weird "greenish" light. It made everything look strange, including our skin and food. It took some time to get used to. When the wait staff did show, she was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. The complimentary bread and pesto was very good. Bread was hot, but not dry. Olive oil was rich a tasty...didn't seem like the weak light stuff you get elsewhere. My Cesar salad was wonderful. It was authentic with Worcestershire and egg, and not drowned on. One of the best Cesar's in town. She got the lasagna, and I got the Spiendino Di Mare. The lasagna was very good, and mine, while smallish on the portion side, was excellent! The shrimp and scallops were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was delectable. My side of garlic mashed potatoes was great, but hey, thats pretty hard to screw up. My wife had to wait on a refill to the point of having to ask for it...not acceptable in an almost empty restaurant, and 5-6 waiters watching tv. We didn't get a dinner drink or desert, but the wine list looked very good for the medium-to-high glass prices. I would have given 4 stars, but the deal breaker was the value. While not "pricey" by my definition, I feel the portion sizes are small for the money. I will probably go again sometime, but its certainly not on my "must go again" list.
Not a good experience – When we got there, was told a 10 minute wait 25 minutes later. Our pager went off, went to the desk was asked to follow. The hostess. When we got to the table was not cleaned was asked to go back and wait. When we finally got seated. We waited five minutes for our waitress gave her our drink order, and our appetizer order. Nine minutes later, received our drinks we received our calamari. It was just okay by the time our meals came out another 25 minutes had passed the chicken Parmesan was burnt from the cheese to the chicken. It was black and asked the woman who brought it out. If you really expect me to eat this she asked if I wanted her to take it back. If they don?t to see it?s burnt, she said yes. She then told me they been having problems in the kitchen. And again asked if I wanted her to take it back. Of course I said yes, by the time they did to reorder my friends that are done eating. When I took my first bite. It was dry and taste like processed chicken. I asked her to send it back. I could not eat it and believe someone was a manager came by, apologize and asked if he could get me something else I ask why they would send out burnt food. By this time my dinner was over, because my friends had already finished eating. So we decided to go for desserts. That was probably the only thing the three of us liked and ordered a cup coffee and acid be fresh coffee, and it was. I really don?t think the manager cared and offered nothing else. How could they expect the other two to wait their dinner? Why they redid mine, the waitress was nice but definitely, overworked, but I?m not sure if I?d ever go back
