Worst Value & Worst Ribs EVER! – Before contacting Lawsheas, I knew nothing about the place. My favorite rib joint in Powell was closed (Windy City BBQ) so I searched the nearest ribs on my phone and Lawsheas popped up so I thought I would try it. The choice of sauces is lacking, and those wanting spicy ribs will be disappointed with the 2 options of BBQ and mild sauce. The quality of ribs is lacking, and there is little meat on each. For the price the meal as a whole was a complete ripoff and I would not recommend.
Lawsheas BBQ Ribs were a ripoff – I bought a slab of BBQ ribs from this place and they were the worse ribs I have ever bought in my life. I thought they were going to be BBQ ribs as advertised. Instead they were oven baked ribs with BBQ sauce. That is a no no. I was expecting ribs that were cooked on a grill. Instead I was disappointed to find they were oven overcooked ribs, No smoked bbq flavor whatsoever. I think ribs that are advertised as BBQ which have been cooked in the oven, should come with a disclaimer. I feel cheated. I will never order ribs from this place again. If you were thinking about BBQ ribs, I reccommend you go somewhere else. i am usually the first one to support local establishments but this place was a total disappointment.
Average food and poor customer service – I have been here a few times mostly at the eastside location.
The food isn't bad but it doesn't particularly stand out to me.
The parking at the new eastside location is a bit better than the previous lot.
Unfortunately I recently visited the north side location recently and ordered 2 "Chicago Style" hotdogs and they were less than par. The hotdogs did not have the tradtional fresh ingredients and one of them was burnt. When I called to complain the cashier advised "that's how it comes (burnt that is) and that I didn't understand. However I am from Chicago and burnt is not a part of it and is ridiculous to say that about any type of food.
When I called and spoke with the manager today I was told people in Columbus don't understand what a traditional "Chicago Style" hot dog is and that is why it is not being fixed traditionally. He admited being burnt was not part of it though. I still never received an apology and find it unacceptable that I can go to an array of restaurants and get my "Chicago Style" hotdog just like it is supposed to come. In my opinion you either make food right or leave it alone. The customer is always right and I am not happy with the many excuses I got for my less than pleasurable experience.
Therefore they will never get my business again.
Lawshea's Southern Fish & Ribs Moved – Lawshea's Southern Fish & Ribs has Moved! We're not M"s Southern. Our new address is 2167 Livingston Ave. We're a full service dine-in restaurant, live Jazz is played every Saturday. Come on out and try a new experience, the food is Great.
Soul food with no flavor – I have visited Lawshea?s a few times and I wouldn?t recommend this take-out soul food restaurant to anyone. The customer service is horrible. My friends and I have tasted several items on the menu and were displeased. A change needs to take place; the restaurant can survive.
Great Food, Good Price – I had a great experience at Lawshea's. The food was cooked to perfection. The parking may be an issuse, for some, but I look at it this way the place is in a VERY busy strip mall for petes sake!!! The staff is no different than what you would see in another resturant environment. I think that people need to realize that. I would recommend Lawshea's to anyone, and plan on going back again, ang again!!
Good food...beware of the area and the customer service does not exsist! – First of all, I went in to place an order, the woman who took my order, was arguing back and forth with someone who was in the back, and kept asking me over and over again to repeat my order all the while threating to go back there and show him something.
Second, the parking is not good, there are few slots in front of the place, but there are other business loacted in this building, which makes parking hard.
Third, it seems like the local hangout/eatery for the neighborhood dealers, more than a few came in and ordered food. Beware and on your guard!
I only visited the spot because I kept hearing the advertisement on the radio station, The owner needs to realize who they have working in the place, I don't see it lasting very long with these issues.
