Tips for Whistlin' Dixie's Texas Tavern
Awesome Birthday!. I celebrated my birthday here in the beginning of June and I could not have been more pleased. The staff was VERY accomodating from setting up an open bar for my party, to getting me and my friends a beer pong table. The bartenders were also great and served us our drinks pretty quick. I would absolutely recommend having a party here or even just going here on the weekend/during the week, if you're looking for a fun and chill place.
Great Local Bar!. This is a great local bar to meet up with friends, play some beer pong and just have a good time! The staff there is great and makes everyone feel welcome!
Boots optional (Tennis shoes are fine). Texas flair in Mid Town. Plenty of screens to view your favorite game over a pitcher of carbonated adult beverage. Grab a sampler platter and feed your machine. A state of the art juke box with a wide selection too. A young and boisterous crowd competing at Beer Pong is fun to watch. Find a partner because you're next!
Great place for relaxing happy hour. I went to a happy hour here last Friday and everything about the place was great! The staff was very friendly, there were great drink specials and the food was SO good. It's a very easygoing bar, perfect if you're just looking to relax. Some people behind us were playing beer pong, but I think on other nights they have other games/events.
GREAT FUNDRAISER!!!!. I recently held a fund raiser at Whistlin' Dixies and I was overly pleased with how everything went. First of all, they gave all of the guests a 3 hour open bar for $40 per person. Of that $40, the bar donated back $20 per person for everyone that came. All I had to do was get people through the door, and I was able to raise a ton of money for a good cause. Everyone loved the place, they had beer pong set up and made sure all of the guests always had a drink in hand. It also helped that bartenders really knew what they were doing, and most importantly, actually had a great time with everyone there. This was a great experience, and I will definitely look to do it again soon. It may be a little bit off of the beaten path, but it is definitely worth the trip.
the place to unwind. Came here on a Friday with friends to cap off the week with a few beers. Bartender was super nice and gave us our drinks quickly. Staff was friendly and attentive, always making sure we had enough drinks. Loved the atmosphere, relaxed and unpretentious with a young, casual crowd. The guys had a blast playing beer pong. We'll def be coming back.
great place for great times. My friends and I were there for happy hour and it was awesome! The bartenders were always filling our drinks up and for us. The jukebox has some of the best music in town on it. The beer pong is great and there's always willing competitors.
Towson University NYC Reunion. The staff was outstanding. The owners of the tavern were friendly and accommodating through out the night.
Great place to celebrate success. We recently celebrated the successful execution of our spring outage. We had a great time playing beer pong. The food and drinks were great, and the staff was fantastic. thanks, Amy!!! You and the rest of the girls made our night. We will definitely be back....
