management issues – There are some serious problems at this place. They've ran out of beer (the beer they have on special, no less) on fridays all the time. The few times I've been in there they've been out of the food I wanted. They have a barback who just stands there and when we ask for him to get us something, he tells us the managers don't let him even grab a beer-ridiculous!
I went in on a wednesday once because I heard they had karaoke. They shut down at 12:30 and the place was packed. The owner was bartending and she said to one her employees she'd do what she wants because she owns the place. She was a horrible bartender, too. There was two of them, but it still took twenty minutes to get a drink becasue they weren't paying attention to anything but the papers they were working on.
I agree--Terrible Staff!!! – I wouldn't even give them one full star!
I went to Bootleggers on a Tuesday night with 2 other girl friends. After having about 2 drinks each, the bartender announced she was closing. There were 3 other patrons at the bar, and it was 10:30! I have worked in food service, and have been a bartender, so I tip very well. I would NEVER have closed the bar EARLY especially if I had PAYING patrons! We paid our bill and left. I tipped her very little. I guess they don't want to make any money!
Nice Bar, Terrible Staff!!!!!!!!! – Bootleggers is a really nice bar with great seating, a nice restaurant area, and a good Television setup for watching games or playing one of the bars many in-house games (Texas Hold'em and Trivia). It's just a shame that the owners have hired an incompetent staff to run such a nice place. The service, especially at the bar, is painfully slow! I've watched people come in and wait for over 10 minutes to get served while the bartender is talking to friends. That's not a onetime, isolated incident either; it's pretty standard for Bootleggers. Of course, if you had a strong managerial staff then the problems with the servers could be fixed, but that's not the case here. The management team they employ is an extremely poor example of workplace leadership. Not only are they fairly ignorant when it comes to how to run a services oriented business properly, but they also don't really grasp the concept of customer service, which is apparent in the conduct of the other employees. It's a shame, but if I were gonna spend my time and money in the Harborcreek area I'd go somewhere else because the employees at Bootleggers are that bad!!!!
