You gotta love a pizza that comes to your table hot from a wood-fired oven. They have the classics from the quattro formagio to the margherita - and everything in between. A pizza pie on your table means Italy can't be too far away.
too great – Wow! Yum! Nothing but fantastic. Great service with a smile. I had no idea what to order and my server recommended the salumi plate and a cheesy pizza (she said the actual name but I forgot it). The salumi plate was unbelievable, the pizza was something I dream of ...perfect crust and creamy cheese. It has smoked mozz and ricotta and parmesan -- the sauce is perfect, not too rich so you cannot taste the other stuff. Nutella on pizza dough for dessert, need I say more? Try this place you will not be disappointed. The servers are super friendly, the bartender was funny and the manager (or owner?) so nice. Super clean too. Oh yeah, the wine. It is all Italian and great. I tried 2 different reds by the glass and I loved both, next time I am going to try one of the bottles that decorate the wall. Cool! TRY IT!! Don't listen to that 1 star review, it was obviously written by a crazy person who does not like great food!
Best representation of Italy on Queen Anne – My recent visit to the new Via Tribunali Pizzaria on Queen Anne was all I had hoped for. As a world traveler, I have high expectaions when an establishment claims authenticity. What I found pleasantly was untrimmed ambient candles, imported woodfire oven, and a strikingly romantic feel. The high back booths lended to intimacy while we were able to watch our pizza come to creation in view of all the guests.
When it came to service, clearly VT encourages it's staff to taste and familiarize themselves with the product they serve. When I asked my server her favorite pizza, she had a top three, but she also took the time to familiarize herself with our taste before giving a recommendation.
All in all at Via Tribunali, I found exceptional food, friendly (and personal) service, as well as a comfortable atmosphere I would expect from Naples. I recommend the "experience" of Via Tribunali as much as I recommend the meal.
real italian pizza – Thankfully we finally have a Tribunali on Queen Anne! Most of us know that this is the only place to get great pizza in Seattle and for those of us lucky to have been to Naples, we know that this is the only place to find 100 percent authentic Neopolitan pizza. Now I don't have to fight for parking on Capitol Hill. The restaurant is small but very charming. The atmosphere is family friendly, but later in the evening you can enjoy more of an adult environment. My favorite pizza is the tribunali with ricotta, smoked mozzerella, and buffalo mozzerella. Also try the margherita which is perfect in its simplicity. I also love the wine list which is exclusively Italian wines and the bottles are displayed just like neighborhood restaurants in Italy.
Editorial Review – Seductive, upscale ambience and Old-World authenticity have fused perfectly into the Emerald City's hottest pizza place.
