Hair in both Sandwiches! – On my third or fourth visit (experiences before were good)
Called in an order for two lunch box sandwich specials
One came with a large black hair on top of the sandwich and one sandwich had a
nice black hair that showed when it had been cut in half!
Guys in the kitchen....... I know its Portland but come on! Hair nets or SOMETHING...
Called back in politely to inform them and received a "No way" and "I'm so sorry"
Didn't offer to give my $12.00 back..................Never again now
Diamond in the rough – People have been telling me how great this place is for a while. I thought it had to be a little overrated. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it deserves the reputation as the best lunch spot in town. The food is fantastic, the people are great and the value is right on.
Awesome place for lunch – My entire family loves this place. Their sandwiches and soups are great. The service is super due to the wonderful and personable owners. Thanks and keep it up!
My favorite lunch spot – This place in FANTASTIC!! The first thing you notice is the incredible attitude these people have ... they are so warm, welcoming and genuine - NOTHING like the indifferent service you get at other places! The food is great ... simple, but generous portions and homey favorites. Vegetarian offerings make me happy too! The veggie sandwich is totally simple, but soooooo good!
These guys know they're stuff and most importantly, they know how to keep people coming back for more!
Great work guys!
Awww, thanks so very much for your kind words, they are so appreciated! We deffinately strive to make everyone feel at home. : ) Melissa @ NOSH
South east portlands best kept secret. – There was a guy who told me something once. When you own a business producing products for people, 3 factors are involved. As a customer you only benefit from 2 of them while the 3rd you sacrifice. Let me tell you about the first 2 factors. You get a product that exceeds many others in quality and quantity. You see the quality the moment you look at your food. You notice the little things that others have assumed trivial like the pickles are fresh and crisp, the bread is perfectly matched for the sandwich you are ordering, the chips are always fresh, they provide a relaxed atmosphere, and most important the cookies are huge and soft. As far as quantity goes, when you order a club from them it is so tall that even big guys can?t take a full bite out of it. When you order the Rueben (which is my absolute favorite), the meat and sauerkraut are perfectly matched and stacked so high it seems impossible that it fit into the to-go box. For some reason people today seem to be concerned with quantity, sacrificing quality, at a reduced cost. If you are going to compare Nosh to others then you will notice you need to throw down a few more nickels but I gotta say, if you eat there, you will realize the effort they have put into producing what I would consider a quality meal and you will not leave there hungry. I hope they stay here for a long time!
We are thrilled you have enjoyed us and strive to continue to serve you well.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support- we do plan on stickin around for a long time!
Thank you for noticing how hard we try to give the best quality possible....
and thank you for taking the time to tell us what ya think.
Much respect, Melissa @ NOSH
Great lunch spot! – This place is very cool - with great sandwiches, pastries and lemonade. I really like what they have done with the interior and how welcoming the place feels. The service was fantastic. Not only was my order served up quickly, but the owners really made me feel very much at home and were very friendly to me during my visit. I'll definitely be back ...
Thank you so very much for your wonderful review! As small business owners we stand behind our community and strive to serve them as best we can.
Please spread the word! P.S. Hope you liked the lemonaide enough to come have a yummy sammy soon!
NOSH's box lunch is the best deal in town – I've been stopping in to get an iced coffee on my way to work. I was way behind schedule one day and didn't have breakfast, so I ordered NOSH's breakfast sandwich. It was served on a toasted bagel with egg, cheese and sausage. You can choose your own cheese and meat! It was served FAST and hot and deffinately perked up my work day.
They also have a great deal on a sandwich box. The deli meat changes daily, but you always get to customize the "fixins". And it's 5 bucks!!!!
Next I'm tryin the Rueben. The girl next to me today ordered one and now I'm cravin it!
Thanks so much NOSH for your smiles every time I see ya and the great food and coffee!
Highly recommended, friendly place
