NO SMOKING AREA and NO in & out priveges. They obviously don't want my money so I will never go there again.

Swanky state-of-the-art theater across from Staples Center. – Designed to cater to everything from big-ticket musical acts and family-friendly touring specials as well as elaborate award shows and corporate events, this wide indoor amphitheater keeps the 7,100 seats close to the action while still allowing for legroom and personal space. Two 16-foot LED screens bookend the largest stage in Southern California. The cup holders in the large, plush movie-theater style seats make it easier to take advantage of the full bars at each floor's concession stand.

Club Nokia anyone? – I haven't been to the Nokia theatre yet, but I have been to Club Nokia (which is so new it's not even on this site!) Club Nokia is awesome. It's got all the swankiness of a new club, without being pretentious. It's a great venue for live music (Beck opened up the place and rocked it!) And although I didn't eat that night, there's apparently food by Wolfgang Puck. -and WHO isn't a fan of his? I give Club Nokia 5 starts for sure, and since it's not on this site yet, you can check out the website: clubnokia (it wont let me write the url!)

Here's the latest upcoming show schedule:

November 21, 2008: Sarah Silverman

with Brian Posehn, Steve Agee, and Mark Cohen

November 22, 2008: In Flames

with All That Remains and Gojira

November 23, 2008: Wilson Phillips

with Cnote

November 26, 2008: Nas

November 28, 2008: Metro Station

with The White Tie Affair, Tyga, and Cash Cash

November 29, 2008: Sergio Mendes

November 30, 2008: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

Great sightlines, long beer lines – This venue has great sightlines. I sat in the orchestra section and had no problem seeing even when people were standing up. It was a tight squeeze to stand and dance but that's how it goes.

Other reviewers are correct in that you have to stand every time someone wants to get by you. And I agree you should keep an eye on the liquids in the cup holders.

The pit section is right at the front and is standing room only. There are probably times when this is the only section when people are standing. I'd hate to be at a show where people want to sit when you want to stand 'cause you'd definitely block people's views.

The concession lines were RIDICULOUS between bands at the Kings Of Leon show. There are concessions on all three levels and they were all jammed. We ended up at a Corona cart where they poured 40 ouncers into cups for $13 a pop.

The inside of Nokia live is nice but all the halls and escalators have bad light and look like Staples Center interior. Not flattering at all of you're looking to make new friends.

Lots of parking lots around the venue. Saw ones for as little as $3 and $5. There is also ample street parking a couple blocks away on surrounding streets. Why pay when you can park for free?

There's a nice large screen outside of the venue that would make for a good outdoor movie experience.

Ushers are nice and don't pat you down like at other venues. They'll look through your bag but are nice about it.

There are lots of bathrooms but make sure the ladies in line in front of you know that there are more stalls to choose from if you walk

Give me the Wiltern, the Orpheum, the Hollywood Bowl, the House of Blues, or even the Greek, please! I love music. That's why I say, No No No Nokia! If you appreciate music, the Nokia will ruin your experience. Here's why:

The seating is fifty or sixty wide in the orchestra seating section with few aisles

There is only an intermission between the opening act the main event, so during the main event, people come and go out for drinks, and you have to stand each time for them to pass. This happened almost every song.

Drink cupholders on the back of seats, and passing patrons caused five drinks to spill behind us. Thanks Nokia for my wet feet, her wet purse, our wet spirits.

Patrons talked throughout the opening act, ignoring good musicians

Steely Dan was great, but was the sound system was not quite up to showing them off

One plus, security was effective in throwing out the drunks behind us, but after their fistfight!

It only interrupted one number

For me, it's NO NO NO NOKIA!

For me, if the music is worth seeing, the Nokia theatre may ruin it.

For you, the better the music, the more Nokia will ruin it for you.

Nokia Live Theater, John Fogerty 11/23/2007 – Made a mistake in buying tickets from a non-Ticketmaster location, $134.00 versus $65,00. Buyer beware!

There doesn't seem to be a detailed layout guide for the theatre, showing the actual seats, just sections.

The theatre is beautiful and I expect many entertainers will use this place for their venues.

The parking is close and ample. Although I didn't use their concession stands (lines were very long). The staff were very helpful and courteous.

The show was very late in starting (no explanation). There was no opening act which might have helped the delay.

The huge Jumbo screens (16') flanking the stage were very helpful and sharp. The actual stage is quite large.

John Fogerty is a legend and we were not disappointed. Beside his most popular hits from CCR days, he included songs from his new CD. His band were very good, especially the drummer, who John said was the greatest Rock & Roll drummer in the world. John had some trouble with his voice toward the end of the concert, he did apologize and he wasn't that bad. He played for about 2 hours, many of the audience gave him standing ovations on some of his hits. It looked like it was pretty close to a sold out venue. Many younger fans who were probally not born in CCR's heyday. I don't think anyone was disappointed.

John Fogerty can rock with the best of them!

All in all we enjoyed his concert, my guests really enjoyed themselves and I would recommend this theater anytime.

I still wish I knew where the seats were located, not just the sections.

Thank you

Not enough BLING for the BIG BUCK! – I just went to the Nokia Theatre last night to see the Eagles and Dixie Chicks. I was satisfied with their performances, but the Nokia Theatre ( for their ticket prices) have something to be desired...... Firstly, once you go in you can't GO OUT and there's NO SMOKING ANYWHERE, so it's crazy being locked in there for 3 1/2 to 4 hours with no cig. The sound on the Dixie Chicks must have been off, because I could NEVER understand one word they ever sang. The concession lines; they are slower than s....t. They have people back there who aren't even doing anything but standing there. Their seats are TOO CRAMMED TOGETHER (but they are cumfy). Coming in and leaving, the staff was very personable thou, to greet you in and out with a genuine smile. With their ticket prices, for a fact, I know I will never be back to the NOKIA to see anyone, NO ONE IS EVER WORTH NOKIA'S BIG TICKET PRICES!!
