My son "won" a "free" membership by entering a drawing. He was told his membership was FREE including a FREE visit with personal trainer to make a workout plan--"we just need your VISA on file" and please sign these papers." Now they claim he owes $250 and that he also signed a contract for personal trainer 2x a week for a whole year--HILARIOUS since he's leaving the country for 2 years. The kid is 18 and was taken advantage of--clearly he did not know what he was signing. And the salesman flat-out lied to him.
this place rocks – need more single men but hey still a good place
Nasty, dirty, poorly kept and no one cares. – You will not be able to cancel and they will never call you back or answer their phones at the coprorate office. Be warned this apparently happens to everyone who ever signs up to this gym. My bigger issue is how the gym is taken care of, the men's restroom is absolutely filthy anytime of the day, they lets guys smoke in there, they piss on the floor and leave trash in the lockers and no one ever cleans it up. The showers are worse than any pay per use shower I've seen down in Mexico. The steam room was one big plus when I signed up, I used it once. They let fully clothed teenagers with shoes on hang out in there like it's a club. not to mention they let guys in there to warm up for their workout and stretch with their gear on. The front desk girls are all super bitches with no personalty and treat everyone like crap, guess that's what happens when you pay minimum wage. The worst thing about this gym besides it unsanitary conditions is that staff won't help you if you ask a question, need to know how to use a machine? Google it before you go because they won;t help you even if you ask. Horrible gym, bad company, all around the biggest scam I've ever been a victim of, can't wait until cancellation time I'm sure they have much in store for me.
Despite its Hollywood connections, this franchise's focus is on pumping iron, not newfangled razzle-dazzle. – In Short
The Terminator and the Incredible Hulk (aka Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno) lifted weights at the gym's Venice, California, flagship years ago, but even today, customers frequenting charter locations are bound to encounter serious muscle. Take note: The boys with bulging biceps are the mascots, not the majority. Gold's generally offers Spinning, aerobics and kickboxing classes, yet weight-training remains the core of the program. Dumbbells and barbells, not spa-like amenities, are the attractions that draw the beef-heads in droves.
