I was forced to cancel an appointment the day-of due to an emergency procedure that came about as a result of complications from surgery. I called ON MY WAY TO THE HOSPITAL to tell them I would not be able to come in that day, and I even went into great detail as to why. I doubt most people would have even bothered to call under these circumstances. They charged me the full price of the session anyway.
I understand why there are cancellation policies in place and I'm the type of person who always - always - honors one's commitments. Given the circumstances, and especially in light of their claims to approach their work as 'holistic medicine', this appears at best unethical and at worst simply a grab for money from a client in a very vulnerable position. I would have gladly discussed any sort of alternative option rather than being simply robbed of several hundred dollars.
They are running a business for sure, and I respect that - but it appears the well-being of their clients is obviously not a priority for them. And so why would you go here with so many other highly rated and reputable alternatives in NYC?
Good experience -but..... – I went for a colonic hydrotherapy. I scheduled the appointment for 6 pm. That was a mistake unless you are used to going an entire day without coffee or food of substance. By the time i arrived i had an incredible headache. Melissa the receptionist was very calming and nice. Her demeanor made me feel less trepidation about the entire process.
I met the therapist, i think her name was Ruby. The room felt more like a medical examination room than a spa room. The therapist sent me into the bathroom and i changed into a robe. I told her i had a terrible headache. The overhead light was so bright i had my arms over my face for half the time until i asked her to kill the light - she apologized and didn't think to lower it. I expected her to be more vocal about what she was doing and i had to keep asking her if everything was going okay, etc. I'll spare you some of the grosser details lol. When all was done i got the product and supplement pitch. About 15 minutes after i left my headache disappeared and i felt great. I definitely felt renewed from the experience and would recommend it highly. Make sure to make your appointment first thing in the morning.
Highly recommended – Really good place for a colonic. I had my first colonic there and the experience was great. Anna really made me comfortable and relaxed and explained everything to me thoroughly. Clean. Hygenic.
Best therapists – Very comfortable. Have met various colon therapists there and each one is really sincere and kind. It was a pleasure to be in the space, very calming. I fully recommend.
Sana Vita Rocks! – I loved my experience at Sana Vita! From the moment I walked in the door until I left from my colonic and massage appointment, I felt that I was treated with respect and the therapists were very attentive to my body's needs. I will definitely visit Sana Vita again!
Perfection ! – This is clearly a treasure of NYC. Over the past few months I've done extensive research on body cleansing and nutrition. From the very first appointment, SanaVita surpassed my expectations with flying colors. After several visits I have an amazing amount of energy, enjoy a restful night's sleep and have adopted a much healthier lifestyle. Thank you Arul and staff for all of your expertise, professionalism and advice. It's clear to see how you've established such a loyal following, including myself.
Wonderful Place! – Sanavita is awesome! The atmosphere and the people who work there are so nice. I was so happy to have Arul as my colon hydrotherapist. I have never received a colonic and was a bit nervous, but she totally put me at ease. The actual experience was much more pleasant than I expected and I felt absolutely amazing afterwards. :)
not that happy – I found this place on citysearch, i really liked their website, the history and etc.I usually don't trust any of such kind of facilities, but I had a feeling they are good. When I came in, no one told me that I have to take my shoes off. When my technician Arul cam in, she was angry bc of that (I could see that on her face). Its not a problem for me to take it off, just put a sign or tell that to your customers. IN whole i dont regret I went there. It is just that I didn't like some things:1) My belly does not look that i wasted something (it looks even bigger); 2) on the web it says that a customer will feel energized and blah-blah (nothing happened-still same-and want to sleep); 3) on the web it says -the session is for 1 hour-I came earlier, so the procedure was finished (with the time in the restroom- like 10-15 min) - 45 min!!!!! 4) they clearly say on their web (also they had it on citysearch as a special deal as well) -complimentary massage before/after the colonics- when I asked Arul, she started to make up things such as- it's only when you buy a package and blah-blah.
I don't feel that I released. Aleksander was a little nervous at the front, even though the receptionist (young lady) was nice. Felt a little rushed. I don't want to offend them (I know that business appreciates good reviews, and sometimes you can write reviews by urself-i just wrote my experience). I was preparing to this for a month, read a lot of info about colonics, but cannot say that I am really happy with that because I don't feel any changes. Th design and location is great. The decorations are made to feel you like you are at home- very nice and cosy :)
Amazing place, great healing center! – There are so many great things about this place, and not only in the colonics sector. The colonic hydrotherapists are extremely professional, but they truly care about YOU and how you feel after the colonic. They give you nutritional recommendations, readings they like, etc. They're also very friendly with you and you feel like you can talk with them about just about anything!
Everyone there makes you feel like a family member! It's great to feel like these are real people talking to you, not just a doctor.
The quantum healing done by the healer in the center is also life changing. One session with him cleared out and healed me in so many more ways than a few years of therapy or psychology could have ever done. I love this place!
the right place for a colonic – I was recommended Sanavita by Blue Print Cleanse - the juice fast company. It was recommended as one of 4 possible places to go in NYC for a colonic. I checked out all 4 websites & thought Sanavita came off the best... Well I was glad to say that it lived up to all my expectations - a relaxing & sanitary environment run by professionals who really care & know about colon cleansing. Highly recommended!
