Great sandwiches – Love the sandwiches. Soups are always delicious. Wake up craving a breakfast sandwich? This place does them right. Great hangover food. Simple salads and some healthy sides like grilled zucchini, so you can chose to eat right or splurge on fries. My only complaint would be the weekend crowds, but that what happens when you serve a great brunch.
Creamy soup :) – We got there after a long walk on Bedford. The place is nice. I've ordered the lunch special (with butterquash soup - yumm, asparagus and half a sandwich). My friend ordered soup of the day (served with side bread), and another friend ordered caffe latte and a croissant. Everything was tasty, though we had to ask for water, and we had to wait for our food. All in all we were satisfied.
YUMMY BREAKFAST ! – I really love the oatmeal here, it is creamy, rich, full of fresh fruits, and just perfect. My husband loves the egg sandwiches too. They serve beverages in ecologically friendly cups which biodegrade without poor effect on the earth. What's not to like ? Good for the earth and tasty too ! Welcome addition to Williamsburg in terms of food and earth conscious mission. Not the greatest service though - waitresses pretty spacy and not too with it ...
THE WORST SOUP I'VE EVER HAD – SINGLE HANDEDLY THE WORST SOUP I'VE EVER TASTED . I GOT BOTH THE TOMATO AND THE SOUP OF THE DAY, AND MASHED POTATOES TO GO . FOR $18 TOTAL RIP OFF ..... IT REALLY TASTED LIKE THEY HAD A TABLE SPOON OF SOUP LEFT AND JUST WATERED IT DOWN... I'M NEVER GOING BACK THERE
fair price . ok food. boring decor – We had dinner on the weekend and left happy and relaxed. The food was great and our server was nice. We will definitely come back- the desserts are amazing
Favorite brunch spot in the 'burg – LOVE LOVE LOVE Ella for breakfast! Their omelette is good, portions are great, and the fresh vegetable/fruit juice that comes with your meal is a great perk. Nice selection of teas as well. The decor is fresh and there is also a nice garden in the back. Service is mixed, but that's Williamsburg.
Great food, service was mixed – I just visited this place today with a friend, after picking it randomly when walking down Bedford. The place is visually very interesting, and has a great outdoor garden. Our food was very good, and we couldn't help noticing that the food our fellow diners ordered looked great as well. The prices were good, lunch for two came to only about 25.00.
The service however was, lets say "mixed". We had two servers; One competant, friendly and fast, the other unable to hide her bad mood. Might have had a nicer time without the bad vibes.
Environmentally conscious American food on Williamsburg's primary promenade. – In Short
Cool green walls and blonde wood accents create a calming environment at this minimally designed cafe. Seated at the counter or in the back dining room's wooden chairs, Williamsburg's well-to-do residents dine on simple salads, sandwiches and lean cuts of organic meat. The emphasis is on fresh, local ingredients, and the takeout containers are biodegradable. Patrons can commune with nature on the back patio in warmer weather.
