Great place for lunch!. Had a fabulous, affordable lunch at Jazz. The gumbo and the red beans and rice made me feel like I was in Louisianna. Fresh shrimp and an amazing bread pudding. Happy hour prices remind me of Austin of old - $1.75 for domestic beers! Rediscover this place - has been a staple for many years on 6th Street and it is was great fun going back.
Great food, Great Music, Weird owner. I always enjoy eating dinner downstairs followed by great music upstairs. I think it is the best venue on 6th street!
GREAT FOOD! NICE PLACE TO HANG OUT AND DRINK!!!. THE FOOD IS WONDERFUL!! I FOUND THE RUMRUNNERS TO BE VERY POTENT! OVERALL IT FELT JUST LIKE BEING ON BOURBON STREET.
Jazz on 6th: A Gem in the Heart of Austin. Great food, great people, great atmosphere! Doesn't get much better than this. Try anything blackened for the best cajun kick in Austin!
Good Place to Eat Lunch. I eat at Jazz at least 3 times a month, primarily during lunch. Their food is served in a timely manner and is deliscious, especially the cajun season fried chicken breast topped with cream gravy, fresh mash potatoes and a side salad with homemade ranch dressing. Usually a good sign for me. The desert was out of this world... Pecan Pie with a special caramel, brandy sauce underneath the pie, topped with Vanilla ice cream. YUMMY!
COLE SLAW!!!! YUM!!!!. I aggree with the previous review...I go there for JUST the cole slaw sometimes! And the Cajun Fettucine Alfredo is SOOO GOOD!! This is one of my favorite places in Austin!
great stuffed mushrooms. The stuffed mushrooms are AWESOME!! Not sure what the stuffing is but was very tasty and the dipping sauce was so good!!! Had a Chicken PoBoy that was huge and very inexpensive....but mostly very tasty. The Cole Slaw is TO DIE FOR!!! I'm a KFC Cole Slaw kinda girl...but Jazz Cole Slaw ranks #1 for me now!!!!!!
Nice for lunch. While most people might think of Jazz for dinner, you are missing out if you work downtown and don't visit for lunch. They have great lunch specials, and I always have great service.
let me tell ya. I have had just about everything on the menu, and let me tell you that it is all good.
Make Mine Spicy!. I recently went to Jazz after not having been in a few years. The food was better than ever, and the manager kindly explained they created a new spice brand. The food was fresh and spicy, the beer was cold, and the fruit beignets for dessert were awesome. We also asked our server Paul to take our group picture and he organized our group on stage and took a great shot. Overall, the evening was a success. We had fun, it was economical, and I was the grand hostess! Jazz is an easy place to enjoy yourself. You must try!
