We love this place. – My husband and I found 5th Street about a year ago and we've been back at least once a week since then.

We've enjoyed everything we've tried, but our favorites are the hot romas, the Extreme calzones and the Mighty Meaty pizza (St. Louis style). The Provel cheese is wonderful on their garden salad, too.

If we've saved room for dessert, it's a tough choice between the chocolate Gooey Butter Cake and Funnel Cake pizza.

The best part of 5th Street, though, is the people--Jeff's team is welcoming and attentive, in a relaxed way. Come back again and they're likely to greet you by name. Don't be surprised if, by your third visit, they remember what you like and how you order it.

Oh, and did I mention they make a mean pizza?

Yum! – We had Chicago style meat pizza, and it was yummy!

We topped it off with the gooey butter cake in chocolate - so good!

Another table didn't care for what they ordered, and they remade their order for them - for free!

The pizza could have used just a touch more sauce, and it was a little greasy, but it was a meat pizza, so what do you expect?

We'll be back!

AWESOME ST. LOUIS PIZZA!!! – I actually just left a comment on another closed down St. Louis pizza place telling people about this place. I found 5th Street a few years ago and was elated when I found a taste of home. It was everything I had hoped for! They even have Toasted Ravs and Gooey Butter Cake. Its St. Louis all the way. They have other stuff too, and other styles of pizza. Sometimes, I have the NY style but mostly I go for their specialty, St. Louis style! :-) Its really cool eating there and meeting all the other groupies from St. Louis too. :-) Ohhh, and be sure to try their Pepperoni Rolls. They are incredible!! And just FYI, they are on myspace and facebook too. They are on my friends list and I have gotten to chit chat with other people from St. Louis that are Dallas transplants. Happy Holidays Everyone!!

St. Louis Style??? – I travel to NY and Chicago a lot so I thought I knew everything about pizza. When I moved to Allen, I stumbled into this place offering St. Louis style pizza (among others). I have to admit that I had never heard of St. Louis pizza before but decided to try it and it was delicious! It reminded me of NY thin crust pizza the most. The best part was the toppings which were fresh and great. I will definitely be going back.

P.S. It's BYOB too!

Best Pizza EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! – My name is Brittany. My boyfriend, Matt and I live in Allen, Texas. We recently went to Fifth Street Pizza for the first time and LOVED it. I wish I had tried it before this. It's SO good, it just like melts in your mouth!!! Not to mention the amazing customer service. They are SO nice and welcoming. We just called them tonight and it was 10:05 and the delivery guy was about to walk out the door and he said he would go ahead and deliver it to us tonight! It was so nice of them. Fifth street pizza is the only pizza we're ordering now!!!!!! It's on Alma and Mcdermott, on the Southeast corner. Check it out!! :)

The most unique pizza I have ever had........Great stuff! – This was my first time trying St. Louis style pizza so I really did not expect it to be much different than any other pizza. I was wrong. Honestly, I have never had pizza that tasted like this before. It is a thin crust with a very creamy cheese that is unlike mozerella. My wife and I split one, and it is so rich that we had leftovers. My kids had the traditional pizza, so everyone was happy. Both pizza's were delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere is family friendly. If you like to support local businesses, this is a win-win for everyone. Great food, great price and simply a great choice. I am only sorry it took me so long to discover it. Oh, and the 80's album covers are a nice touch. Reminds me of college.

Not quite on the mark with the best of St. Louis style pizza – Let me start out by saying I am a native St. Louisan and worked in THE authentic St. Louis style pizzerias all through high school and college - I know St. Louis style pizza and this is close, but no cigar. The people at 5th street were very friendly. I had a very large take out order and without me even having to ask, one of the delivery drivers came from behind the counter automatically helped carry it to the car for me - and I am not a woman! As for the pizza (which is what really matters here), I was disappointed - maybe my expectations were too high. The crust was very good. Thin and crispy as you would expect. The major disappointment was the lack of toppings. The sauce was good and tangy with a slight sweetness to it. But it was much too thinly spread. I want to see RED sauce, not pink crust. The veggies were sliced too thin - so they dried up during the cooking process. I was hoping to sink my teeth into peppers and onions and enjoy the full flavor. Cheese: Cheese is an expensive topping I understand, but one of the defining characteristics of the St. Louis pizza is the PROVEL cheese. Our pizzas were just lightly dusted with it. In my opinion, the crust should not be visible underneath the toppings and cheese. Unfortunately, I saw too much crust. St. Louis style pizza is at its best when that provel cheese is abundant enough to stick to the roof of your mouth. I missed that experience. Lastly, and probably my biggest disappointment as a meat eater was their use of sausage and hamburger "pellets". The pizzerias in St. Louis use fresh ground meat and it is placed/pinched onto the pie in large meaty chunks. Having said that, I will still give them another try. Maybe it was just a bad night or just that particular pie maker. The pizza was not bad by any means, but without more generous toppings, it is just a teaser. The pepperoni rolls were excellent I must say!!

Outstanding Customer Service – Went to 5th Street Pizza tonight for the first time sit in after a previous take out order and the pizza is absolutely great! The cheese and sauce were great and the crust was thin and crispy as we like it. Coming from a family who owned a pizzeria, I can say this is a must go and check it out!

One of my "hobbies" is to drive all around the Dallas metroplex tasting pizza places to see if we can savor/match that of our family's from the 90's, although we didn't have thin crust in our menu, the flavor was non canned and fresh, which is a plus.

Native St. Louisans get a taste of home as others jump on the bandwagon at this pizza joint. – In Short
Inside a small but lively dining area, pictures of St. Louis landmarks and sports teams hang on the faux burgundy walls while customers treat themselves to a slice. The St. Louis-style pizza is made on a thin, crackery crust and topped with a six-blend "provel" cheese. A traditional, hand-tossed pizza is available, as is a selection of calzones, strombolis, wings and pepperoni rolls. Specialty pizzas include the "Garden Delight" and "Mighty Meaty" and more.
