Extremely overpriced! – All pizzas come with no toppings, the toppings are extra? Does that mean that if you order ketchup they won’t give you the bottle; they will bring it as a side dish and charge you? For the price we paid for two pizzas’ we could have had a steak dinner for three! The tables are so jammed together it's ridiculous. The waiters are very rude, they could not get our order or simple requests right. I was so disgusted and I would never go back to that place again…...
Excellent Food and Atmosphere – This pizza restaurant was recommended to us a couple of months back, so we decided to try it. Much better than we imagined. Definately recommend.
Great pizza and service – We just loved the pizza here... I wish they had a margherita pizza, but we make something like it from the topping selection. The only setback is that it is a little on the pricy side. That is okay, though, when it comes to quality pizza.
FINALLY... – Finally REAL New York Pizza in Las Vegas or on the west coast.
Many have tried to duplicate east coast pizza and up to this point no one has.
Grimaldi's is IT!
Below Average Quality, Above Average Price – I was very excited to see that a pizzeria with Brooklyn ties was near my office, so I decided to give Grimaldi's a try. The pizza wasn't good. The sauce tasted like it came from a can, and was very thinly spread on the pizza. The cheese was okay, but not good enough to save the pizza. The sausage was pretty good. The crust was thin, like it should be on a Brooklyn Pizza, but it wasn't "soft". It wasn't hot when I arrived at the time they said it would be ready, it obviously had been in a hot oven because the crust was slightly burnt. The pizza would be mediocre if served by a chain, and for nearly $20 it rates poorly with me.
If You like New York style pizza you will love it here – Great pizza--very thin, but not crunchy like the thin crust that most places have. This is true New York Style pizza in Vegas. They are consistant. We have been several times and the pizza is always excellent, never any variations--
Great pizza – I really enjoyed the pizza. The toppings are very fresh and loaded. The crust is a thick crust which I don't normally like but it was good.
Best Pizza in Las Vegas – Grimaldis is a great place to hang out, has the best pizza in town and on top of that their salads are to die for.
Good for NY pizza........ but NOT Chicago Pizza!! – We went to Grimaldi's after hearing and reading about how wonderful the pizza was...... and some friends also said they enjoyed it. We are from Chicago. OK....... so I'll start the war...... there is no comparison between Chicago pizza and NY pizza. Grimaldi's pizza was good and tasty....... but I'm sorry to say, we will not be returning there. Overall experience was good.... don't get me wrong...... but what's with NY pizza? It was thin, soggy (wet is the better word), runny on top...... and hey! where was the cheese?? .... where was the green pepper??? (which they don't even offer as a choice)....... and the sausage?? Can we taste it, please?? We even order "extra" cheese and I asked the waitress if that's really what they called extra cheese...... to which she said "yes"....... of course. So we paid an additional $2.00 for "extra" cheese and STILL could barely taste it. Sorry folks........ shoot the messenger on this one. Nice overall flavor with fresh ingredients....... but YOU CALL THAT PIZZA???? WE THINK NOT.
Authentic NY Pizza – 12/08 revisit - this rapidly expanding pizzeria franchise originated in Brooklyn and currently operates 6 restaurants in Arizona and Las Vegas. We chose the white pizza with fresh tomatoes passing up the large salads that are offered on the menu. We chose the white pizza with garlic and added fresh tomatoes. The toppings have always been above average, but this time the elves got the crust right.
