Wow!! – Wow! This place not only looks fantastic, but the service and food far exceeded our expectations. I travel to Las Vegas quite a bit and I have to say that this has got to be one of the cities best places for carnivores! The steaks were absolutely melt in your mouth delicious! The sides were fantastic as well (Creamed Corn and Truffled Spinach were AMAZING!) A guest in our party ordered the Salmon dish and said that it was also delicious. This place was hitting on all cylinders! I will definitely be returning for my Steak fix when back in town. You guys ROCK!
GREAT UPSCALE DINNER – Let me start by saying that we frequent fine Steak Houses all over the country. This week was my 4th visit to Strip House. Every visit was superb! The shellfish tower was huge..lobster,oysters,scallops,king crab,calamari,shrimp, and more. The cost was $49!! that is less than 1/2 of some competitors (SMITH AND WOLLENSKI) Which we ate @ the night before! The bone in strip was perfect! the service was a++! The signature chocolate cake was to die for! Absolutely the best Steakhouse in Vegas for the $$!
Fantastic Service, quality food – The Porterhouse for two was a generous portion, tender, lean and worth every penny. The service was wounderful as was the atmosphere. I highly recommend the Strip House for your next Vegas visit.
Overpriced average steak – My husband and I chose this restaurant for our Valentine's dinner (2/14/09) because of the reviews seen on this website. The atmosphere is nice... a little trendy though. The seating is like a cafeteria with dim lights. No romantic seating!!! The music was somewhat loud making it difficult to conversate but also drowning out the conversation of the couple sitting 2 feet next to you. Four drinks totaled $50, not bad! But the total bill came to $280 for two people. Yeah, we ordered a lot of food, but it was definitely not worth $280. We shared the 40oz porterhouse steak, a 2 lb. lobster, a friscee salad, and garlic fries (recommended by the waiter). The steak was about 2 inches thick and looked great, but missing flavor. Good thing we ordered the Bernaise sauce to go with that steak. The lobster was good... no complaints there except the price maybe... $24.99 per pound. The salad looked like an icecream scoop of lettuce on an oversized plate with a single slice of bacon and dressing. Tasted okay, but I've had better. The waiter recommended the garlic fries and boy that was a mistake! They were regular (probably frozen) french fries that were overcooked with slivers of garlic which were also deep fried and ultra crispy. We ate just about everything except for the garlic fries. They really were bad. We didn't have room to sample their desserts so instead they quickly cleared our table, brought some candied pecans and the bill. We got the hint to leave. At no time were the staff rude, but everything is timed there and it feels like you're on an assembly line. Although this place looks nice and the food is okay, I definitely would not rate this the number one steakhouse in Vegas. I'll have to try a few more to say for sure who the number one steakhouse is but so far I would have to say CraftSteak at the MGM is the best.
great decor – We had a great dinner for 2. We were seated at a great table and received great service. The dryaged steaks were expertly seasoned but were not cooked as per the order (I know chefs never want to cook a steak med-well but if they will not they should state it on the menu, not send it out rare to med-rare!) The sides were also wonderful, espcially the creamed corn with pancetta.
great experience – I ate dinner here over the weekend.From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the cute hostess. We grabbed a quick drink in the bar before being seated, once seated we were so busy looking around at all of the black and white pictures and just taken away by the decor. I had the bone in filet and it was perfect. My date had the bone in ribeye his also was great. The table next to us were having lobster which looked amazing(wish we would have ordered some) This was a great recommendation by our friends who dined here recently. We would definitly recommend this place to anyone.
Food was really good, the server was really bad. – The room and food and drinks were really, really good... even though it's really really hard to park in this building, which deters me from going there more often.
Anyway, did I mention that the food and cocktails and wine were really really good?
The cocktail server in the lounge was really "green" and couldn't answer things like what kind of vodka or tequila they had, but she did smile. I'd expect a little training for an expensive steak house. She had deer in headlight complex and was very uncomfortable carrying drinks - to the point we were waiting for them to spill on us during delivery - but they didn't - so that's good, right???
Everything about the food was great - from the app's to the main course, to the sides and desserts. the only down side to the meal was that the server had an attitude and aggressively tried upselling everything. I'm cool with the server offering added items or upgrades, but when I decline leave it alone - don't ask me twice or turn your nose up when I only go with the $58 steak and not the surf and turf.
Lastly, the check took FOREVER to get to us to the point that we were then falling asleep from all the food and wine. Don't servers know that they can really ruin their tip by making the customer wait - at the end of the experience? This one didn't.
So, overall, I can't go higher than 3 stars. If we weren't in Las Vegas - the home of restaurants a dime a dozen, I'd go higher, but sorry guys - tighten up the ship.
PHENOMENAL FOOD! BUT BAD ENDING – Attending the CES show, January 2008, my business associate enjoyed a shared Cesar salad, NY steak (medium) with a side of spinach cooked with truffle oil (unreal). All of which was exceptional with a bottle of red wine (Ridge brand). From the decor to the lighting and sound volume, everything was perfect (even the spinach which I normally don't eat unless it is an indian restaurant was over the top great!). I can't praise the food enough. Only unpleasent experience was at the end of the meal when the waiter (by accident when he was picking up the dishes) knocked over the glass of wine and it spilled on the table with a splash of the wine hitting my business associate's shirt and pants. The waiter and the management, not wanting to admit fault right away, I felt the staff was unprepared for this type of incident and it could have been handled differently. Maybe it was because they opened not too long ago.
So, the food was unreal, but the service is what will prevent me from giving the place more than 2 stars. The staff has to match an award winning chef. Maybe I'll try the place again (did I mention the spinach?).

Vintage Studio Manasse images and silks hang on the blood red walls at this sexy steakhouse with a burlesque feel. The menu is what you expect of a steakhouse, prime cuts of beef-such as the 22-ounce bone-in rib eye or 16-ounce New York strip-and seafood dishes for fish lovers-Maine lobster, sesame crusted yellow fin tuna and pan seared red snapper. Sides offer a different take. Black truffle creamed spinach, goose-fat potatoes and creamed corn with pancetta are the specialties. Desserts include the 24-layer chocolate cake.
Giving a steak house new meaning! – Not being a huge steak fan I was hesitant when my boyfriend wanted to go have steak while visiting Vegas. We went to Strip House which had just opened in Planet Hollywood. We have heard great things about their other locations and decided to check it out. Strip House was appealing from the moment I walked through the door. We loved the fabulous interior. While having a drink in the lounge we were both amazed by the images of vintage women that were decorating the walls. The steak was perfectly charred and delicious. I tired the goose fat potatoes which tasted great and somehow had enough room to try the 24 Layer Chocolate Cake. Our waiter made great suggestions for wine and made sure he checked to see how our dining experience was. If that wasn't enough sitting two tables away from my favorite "Entourage" star, Adrian Grenier. Going to a steak house is no longer a man thing.
