bad experience – I had been before and received an okay waxing. I decided to go back again and ended up with two completely different brows! It is going to take forever for them to completely grow back in, if they ever will. Right after having them waxed, while still on the table, I was suggested I buy brow cream ($100) to grow my brows back in. The wax was also way too hot and took off a large piece of my skin. My brazilian wax was agonizing and didn't even look good. I have had many brazilians before and never had this kind of pain! I was also very disappointed in the customer service, I was made to feel that my two misshapen brows and burn were my own fault! I will never go back.
Erin is AMAZING! – I get regular facials from Erin and I have never recieved more compliments on my skin. Today was my first wax EVER- and Erin did an amazing job. It was relatively painless and she was very quick. I am very pleased with my bikini wax and I am always pleased with my facials. I wouldvreccommend this botique and Erin to RVERYONE!
Great place for great waxing – I can't remember exactly how I heard about the Wax Bar for the first time, but I've been going for around 9 months now, and getting at least one Brazilian a month there. I originally started seeing Karen, the owner, who is fantastic with waxing and started an amazing business. When she left for a slight maternity leave (she is back now) I moved to Melissa, and I'm totally hooked! She is a great waxer, who remembers my preferences and is always fun to chat with. I'd definitely recommend her for someone who is new to waxing, I'm sure she would put you at ease. Its nice that there are drinks there... but with good waxing like that, you don't even need 'em!
Best waxing in Seattle! – I have been all over this city searching for a place for waxing and I finally found it! I've been going here for a couple months and the services (waxing only) have always been great. I'm usually calling last minute and
there is never a problem getting in. I would highly reccomend trying this place out!
NO WAY! – Shotty customer service and even worse services. Painful waxing and rubbing cream all over my face does NOT constitute a facial! DON'T GO!
I Love The Wax Bar!!! – I went in for a facial at The Wax Bar and I can't stop thinking about it! It was the best experience and so relaxing. The appointment began with the technician asking me about any skin problems I wanted to address and she answered all of my questions and concerns with thorough responses and was extremely friendly and so easy to talk to. In between the various treatments she gave me the most wonderful massage on my face, neck, arms and shoulders that made me forget I had to go back to work! My skin was glowing in a way I've never seen it before and it still feels transformed. I felt like I looked ten years younger and haven't had some of the issues we talked about since. I can't say enough good things about it and I wish I could go in every day. I highly, highly, highly recommend The Wax Bar!!!
Ignore obviously fake posts, this place is great! – The bad reviews are obviously fake. The users all have only 1 post to their credit and they were all posted within the same time frame. Sounds like some disgruntled 20-something who wants to "get even" or a competitor. Idiots.
I've been to the Wax Bar 2 or 3 times and really recommend it. The prices are reasonable and I've been happy with my brow waxes. Much cheaper and faster than Habitude but with the same lux environment and level of quality. I also take note when local businesses donate goods & services to school auctions and other charitable events, which the Wax Bar cheerfully and enthusiastically has done.
2 thumbs up!
Get a complimentary cocktail with your Brazilian at this genius waxing bar on Ballard's 15th Avenue. – In Short
The interior of this Ballard waxing bar is all white and chic, the better to put customers at ease before they go into the most intimate of spa treatments. Even better news is the cocktails that are served to customers while they wait, just to take the edge off a bit more. The waxing menu offers the usual suspects--brow, back, bikini, Brazilian--along with every other, er, body part where you can grow hair. Also unique is the maintenance Brazilian, a special offer for clients who book a follow-up Brazilian within a month of their first full-service treatment in the spa. Facials, including a fun "bikini facial" for stressed-out bikini lines, are also available.
Best waxes – Highly reccommend clean, great service I will send all my clients to the wax bar. I have been to alot of salons, wax bar is very professional and great customer service.
won't be going back – let's start with the pros: nice location, definitely a fan of the pre-wax drinking. not too hard to get in either.
now let's really rip into it: isn't the point of getting waxed to REMOVE ALL HAIR from the area? after a less than pleasant bikini I was left a sticky mess with leftover wax AND having to go home and tweeze.
definitely skip it.
