Best Italian Food in Town – I grew up in the Bronx in NY and lived on Italian Food. Arthur Avenue has the best Italian in the country. I have lived in a lot of places and have always tried to find good italian restaurants besides my kitchen and it has been virtually impossible. When I moved to Lewisvile and found Villa, it was like going home. Everything about villa is Italy and traditional. The pizza is about the best around and their entree's are unbelievable! I have eaten just about everything on the menu in the 5 years I have been here. I will drive 1/2 an hour to pick up lunch and bring back to the office just for their food. Anyone that says their food is bad has no idea what Italian food is supposed to taste like. When you get used to the Italian food in the South, that is all you know so it is difficult to know which is right. So many restaurants and pizza places claim they are from NY and have the best pasta sauce and food in town but they are so far off it is not even funny. Their is no other place I would go eat Italian then Villa. Not even Bucca's in Southlake!

Good pizza, bad dining food. – Pizza is good...very tasty. Dinners are horrible, see Hucknfrex's detailed review. Suggest Genti's in Corinth (5-miles north) just off 35 on Swisher, or 2 Guys From Italy off 635 and Josey. For pizza, this place is o.k....for dinner don't even think of it...save your money and your stomach. We were both violently ill all night after eating here!

AWESOME pizza, decent subs, HORRIBLE dinners – The cheese pizza is GREAT! Neopolitan-style, with great sauce and cheese. Very reasonably priced, I think it was 12.99 for the 16-inch!I grew up in Manhattan (NYC) where pizza truly got it's American roots.

The dining area is quite the upscale, romantic setting to a fault. The fault being the lighting was so low you have to struggle to read the menu. There was an odor in the restaurant of soured milk.

The bread was decent, but came unwrapped to the table on a plate slightly warm. Bread should be HOT, wrapped in a towel or cloth. Brought out just after ordering, with no questions if we wanted more when the meal was served. The salad isn't good at all...a small bowl of lettuce clippings with ONE half of a 1/4-inch slice of a tomato, drowned in the 'house' dressing. a 'Catalina'-style italian. I did not care for it at all, would have preferred a dry salad with no dressing. Honestly, you get a better salad at Denny's.

The meal came out within 3 minutes of the salads...not enough time, guys! You need to space out the courses in a sitting, unless you want to be a 'fast-food' restaurant. The entrees were not visually appealing in the least. The sauce or gravy on the chicken parm looked like lumpy pureed tomato...with no spices at-all...no basil or oregano leaves present, and that is exactly the way it tasted - bland and hardly worthy of calling sauce or gravy. The chicken on the parm plate was thick (2/3"), but tasted like it was previously cooked and re-heated with cheese put on top just before reheating it.

The chicken catciatori(sp?) was smothered in peppers so badly that you couldn't see the chicken. Also the catciatori(sp?) sauce appeared to have cream in it...it was a cream-colored pink. I had never seen that sauce look that way in any restaurant I ordered it from in my 45 years. The bell peppers and mushrooms were extremely over-cooked and had an old-taste to them, as-if to say they were from a couple of days ago, reheated this night. The chicken in the catciatori(sp?) was a pounded (1/4") breast that tasted like it was boiled, then covered in the sauce. This dish requires the chicken be either roasted or sauteed in the sauce, not cooked on the side and covered with sauce! The vegetables should be al-dente with just a hint of crispness to them. I took 3 bites of this...giving it the benefit of the doubt that maybe my taste-buds were on the fritz, finally just left the rest.

Now, the prices are very cheap for the meals...I believe they were 8.99 and 9.99, and the plates were full. The meal was a total let-down! I will never dine in again.

Fantastic Food! – My wife and I go to this place at least once a week. The food is just amazing! The pizza is top-notch, and the prices are really good. My work has had them cater a few events, and people always enjoy the food. The atmosphere is very romantic. No playscapes mom and dads - sorry. The food is so worth it though. Pizza - good, Pasta - good, Salads - good!
