DO NOT order the pizza! – How can people possibly call this pizza the best?? The pizza has the thickest, blandest crust I've ever tasted, virtually no red sauce, and just piled on with about an inch of melted cheese. That's gross. The service however was excellent and next time we go, we'll order the entrees which looked really tasty. However, this is NOT a pizza joint. Maybe Im being harsh because I've lived in New York City and New Haven, CT where the best pizzas in the country is found, but this pizza was not good at all.
All Good – The very best pizza, never have been dissapointed. Service is great and the food is wonderfull. Great place for a date.
Since 1965, the Giacolone family's comforting, Italian food and welcoming patio draws Point Loma and OB regulars, first daters and families. – In Short
Comfy booths and glass-top tables with Italian scenes underneath dot the dining room, and soft lighting, wine bottles and Tuscan wall murals warm up the space. The outdoor patio with vine-lined latices and strung lights is straight out of Italy, as is the small bar inside, often occupied by those waiting for take-out orders. Pastas, sandwiches, and classic veal and chicken entrees dominate the family-style menu, along with several seafood options.
Best place for pizza – San Diego could use more places with great pizza like Venetian. Recommend plain cheese or one topping only - the way real pizza should be eaten. Wish they delivered, but watching the kitchen when waiting for to go orders shows you that you're getting fresh, quality food. They should open another restaurant in San Diego that delivers!!!
Best Pizza I have had in San Diego – I moved to San Diego over a year ago and this is the best pizza I have found. The pizza only comes in one size and it is perfect for 2-3 people. The cheese is very tasty and so is the crust. They also have a really nice patio for dining. It can be very crowded on weekends so plan on waiting a little bit. It is well worth it and the prices can't be beat either.
