A staple establishment in Los Feliz, Little Dom's (same owners as Dominick's in West Hollywood) is one of the coolest places to brunch and be seen brunching in Los Angeles. Keep your eyes peeled for under the radar celebs who are known to dine here.
Located in Los Feliz, this restaurant and deli, serves your Italian deli favorites and breakfast. It has a New York feel and a vintage wooden bar. Save room for dessert.
On Sundays the prosecco bottles are only $12. One of my favorite places to day drink.
Amazing food, all of it. – Both times I have been to Little Dom's I was more than impressed, I was ecstatic about the food. Everything we ordered was excellent, and we kept making those little noises that mean you like it.
The only downside, perhaps because we were sitting in the outdoor sidewalk section, was a lack of prompt customer service. The food arrived relatively quickly, that was not the problem, it was more a lack of attentiveness from our server. Oddly, enough, the other guys came pretty quick to fill our water and take our finished plates away. But when it was time to order dessert, or pay the bill, we had to wait for a long time.
Regardless, I will go back again, the food is more than worth any bit of a service delay! Bon Appetite!
Pretentious crowds go elsewhere – After having a lovely breakfast at Little Dom's I have four things to say.
1: Steak and eggs have never been so delightful
2: The coffee was in a word, perfect. Even the simple cup of joe was brewed exquisitely.
3: The service was attentive, and swift. The staff seemed to be as enthusiastic about my breakfast as I was.
and 4: What atmosphere. It reminded me of my favorite haunts back in New York.
My only reservation about the place, and it is a small one, was that the music felt stuffy and outdated. Perhaps playing some more contemporary, and classic rock could make this place a perfect 10 on my list. That way we could keep this place as young and exciting as it's customers. Jazz is better left for the Glendale crowd.
Exceptional Service – My friends and I went on a Saturday Evening (08-09-08) for dinner. The Specials of the day were absolutely delicious, the wait staff were equally accomodating. The exerience was so memorable we decided to go again (08-12-08) with different friends! Everything, (service, seating, table, wait staff) was perfect. I had one incident where the food expeditor asked who was eating what, when he delivered the food to the table, the waitress heard and quickly intervened. We will certainly return and highly recommend.
I love this place! – This is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. There are so many restaurants in this area to have brunch...esp. along the run of Hillhurst; But Little Dom's measures up to be one on my favorites and in my opinion the best food for your dollar. The steak and eggs are craveable, the coffee is always perfect, and the nutella panino is so delicious it is wrong! My service has always been bright and friendly and I feel really well taken care of whenever I walk in. I love Little Dom's!
Great food, Bad management – Tonight was my first experience at Little Dom's. I was excited to try out a new place with friends. Let me first say, the food was great. My friends and I were having a great time and then the check came. There were 12 of us and 6 people had credit cards. The waitress then preceeded to tell us that we could only use 2 of the cards. We spoke to the manager, who was so incredibly rude and tried to tell us the same, but, when we told her there was no cash, she somehow miraculously figured out how to run all 6 cards ( all the while giving us a total attitude). My friend went to great lengths to plan this dinner. She spoke to this same manager for over an hour planning the menu and was underquoted on the price, by the way. It's a shame our meal had to end that way, because it would have been a lovely experience had there not been so much check drama. I will not be going back and I will not recommoend it to friends.
Great Addition to Los Feliz for Dinner... and now Breakfast! – Little Dom's is one of my favorite places to go in Los Feliz. I have been many times for dinner and have always had a really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is always really fun and the design of the restaurant is beautiful. They recently opened up for breakfast and lunch and I went last Saturday. Their breakfast is really really good, especially if you've got a sweet tooth. I ordered the blueberry and ricotta pancakes and was far from disappointed. The pancakes were light and fluffy, but also really satisfying. My friend had the breakfast pizza which was an interesting combination of mozzarella, tomato, egg, and a smoked prosciutto, and we both agreed it was delicious and ate every last bite. We also shared a nutella panini, which sounds so simple, but was one of the most incredible sandwiches I have ever tasted (little dom's should add this to their dessert menu!). All in all, breakfast was great, and I will definitely be back!
Pizza for breakfast – drove past the other day and didn't realize they were open for breakfast. great food, low key atmosphere and nice outside tables. highly recommend if you want to avoid the cheesy crowds at some other spots around town.
Breakfast anyone? – Best kept secret -Little Dom's serves breakfast and lunch. I always wished Dominick's had lunch, so this is exciting! They have all the yummy lunch stuff like a fantastic tuna melt, their gooey burger and a delicious cacio e pepe pasta, but their breakfast rocks. i went yesterday and they have a breakfast pizza with egg and homemade sausage that i could eat by myself. they also have some tasty breakfast drinks that are great for hair of the dog or a little lunchtime buzz. nice to know these guys have another breakfast spot besides the 101 and also nice to know where all the cute guys on the east side are hanging out.
Good, but don't get over-excited – Little Dom's homey decor and warm lighting is inviting from at least half a block down it's location on Hillhurst. Though the entranceway isn't nearly large enough to accommodate the perpetual line for a table, we were seated only 15 minutes late for our reservation. The wine list is adequate, not spectacular. Rice "orbs" were crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside - highly recommended. Grilled artichokes bordered on chokingly smoky. The flighty waitress recommended hangar steak with wilted greens and crispy mushrooms, which was filling, but disappointingly under-seasoned. Dessert was the highlight of the meal; a trio of cannolis, torta della nonna, and torta al cioccolata were all spectacular, as was, notably, the coffee.
All in all, Little Dom's borders on worth it. I'd ignore any hype though.
Beautiful Room/Great Food – Just walked in off the street with no reservations and they could not have been nicer. The room is beautiful except for the cheap pictures of old movie stars on the walls. We ordered riceballs for an appitizer and I haven't had a rice ball in many years. It was delicious. For entree I had the parpardelle (homemade pasta almost like a lasagna noodle) with sausage and peas. The ultimate comfort food. My dinner partner had the free range chicken. Both dishes were great. And we are hard to please. We brought desert home. The canoli is rich and creamy the way it should be. And the olive cake with caramal sauce had the best texture. We had 3 glasses of wine between the 2 of us and the whole bill with 20% tip came in just under $100. I loved this place and can't wait to go back.
