FRENCH NIGHT GONE AWRY – I went there for dinner with my husband. They did not have 4 dishes out of 5 that we ordered. The waiter kept coming back to the table to apologize for not having what we ordered from the nightly special menu. So finally we figured out what they had, and ordered. My husband's food came cold, he sent it back. The waiter microwaved the plate with creme on the chicken and he brought it back with oil swimming on top. I ordered a salad with stuffed zucchini and cherry tomatoes, what I got was zucchini slices and green tomatoes. I sent it back. The French onion soup was tasteless and so hot that I burned my tongue. I had to wait 10 minutes to be able to eat it. When I complained to the waiter, again, he told me that he was not the owner. We were very disappointed and left without leaving a penny tip. We will never go back to this restaurant. I predict they will be out of business in a few months.

The Worst Service Ever!

I pass by this place all the time and wonder how it stays in business because it always seems empty. Finally I stopped in for a quick a lunch with my father. Big mistake.

There was only one occupied table outside and one inside, yet it took several minutes for them to seat us. We chose to sit outside and they left us with the menus for about 20 minutes and no one even came out to see if we wanted beverages. Finally I went inside and asked for a waiter. The (very French with attitude) help was just goofing around, talking on cell phones and playing around on a laptop in the empty restaurant. The waiter took our order and brought it back fairly quickly. But when we were done, no waiter in sight. No one had come out to check if we were OK, if we wanted refills on our beverage, they completely forgot about us. Finally I had to go back in again to ask for a waiter and our check. I'm thinking they wanted us to stay all day so the place would look less empty!

The French waiter was very rude and said that in France they relax and take hours to eat. I said this is America, we have things to do, places to go. He rudely suggested I try MacDonalds.

The food was nicely presented, but just OK, nothing special, definitely not worth putting up with the attitude of the waiter. If you have all day to sit around eating with just one beverage, being ignored by rude lazy waiters chatting on cell phones, then by all means, check it out.

Nice place, rude staff – I realize that a less-than-stellar rating for Salades de Provence is unusual on Citysearch, but I have good reason to be less-than-impressed.

Beware: this is not a place to go to if you are looking for a quick snack or fruit drink. In other words, if you order something that is less than $10 and don't have cash, be prepared to walk your behind to the nearest ATM. I learned this the hard way today after a workout across the street at Barry's Boot Camp.

The "elder-statesman" waiter (and I presume manager or owner) made it painfully clear that he would not accept my debit card for the purchase of a $4.50 glass of carrot juice. I pulled it out of my wallet, he said a few words and just walked away. Thankfully I found five $1.00 bills in my gym shorts, so I left them on the table. I am sure he wasn't impressed with the tip, but then again I wasn't impressed by his arrogant and dismissive attitude.

And the French wonder why everyone has beef with them. HELLOOOO!

Get a little taste of France in the middle of WeHo at this corner cafe serving up organic salads, crepes and quiche. – In Short
At the intersection of La Cienega and Holloway Drive lies this corner nook, raised just a few feet above the street, but feeling a world away from the bustling traffic below. Hailing from the South of France, where the family-owned spot has been serving gourmet organic salads, quiche, crepes and desserts for over a decade, this petite cafe is where Angelenos looking for fresh salads and a quaint scene can come to relax and enjoy the view. Daily soups and quiche of the day are listed on the chalkboard while the menu--which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner--spans from croissants and eggs to some 14 different salads, like the L'assiette Maribeau, a colorful creation of seasonal greens, proscuitto ham, tartine de poilane (French bread baked in a fire oven), goat cheese, fried potatoes, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette.

Want to get a taste of the south of France in a unique setting with great service? This is the place! – This is hands down one of the best and most authentic French restaurants in Los Angeles. The original restaurant in Aix en Provence is by far the best one there and Salades de Provence definitely lives up to the reputation. Whether you are going for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the food is exquisite and the flavors remind me of the south of France. I have tried almost all of their salads and I am impressed every time of how good they are and you should definitely try the Nutella crepe, it's excellent! Great ambiance, great service, great food, so definitely a spot you need to check out in LA!

Oh i forgot, the "pain au chocolat and croissant " are suchhhh "yummmy" . I really recommend this place !

And you can also learn some words in French, because the manager speaks French!!!!!

Best Salads Ever! – I really love the salads here, and the service is great. It has such a cozy environment. The salads are high quality, and some of them even have rice making a very feeling meal. But it is very worth it! If you don't want to spend a lot for the salad... try the coffee or gelato, which are both amazing!

I will definetly go back, because the salads are soooo good!
