Tips for Color Tanning & Airbrush
Proceed with extreme caution. I had a terrible experience at this salon. After paying for one tan ($40), they kept my credit card # and charged $103. I had to call six times before they would agree to reverse the charge. Each time I was told that someone would call me back, and no one ever did. I finally had to go to the store. Not surprisingly, there was a customer there who had the same issue (they had "mistakenly" charged her credit card for more than she had authorized). They recredited my account (supposedly), but I am still waiting to see the credit on my statement (this was one week ago), They also misrepresent their packages..you'll see on the price-card "Ten Tans for $44" but it really means that EACH tan is $44 if you buy a package of ten. They wait for you to give them your credit card information and they basically charge you for the package they want you to buy, This is a very shady place and I would be extremely careful of doing business with them. I have already notified the better bussiness bureau about them.
Don't go to Color Tanning.
If you are familiar with this place- I'm sure you've seen the people standing out front passing out flyers...I was one of them for a while.
They bounced 7 checks to me and NEVER paid my bank fees! So unfortunate that people are so sleazy sometimes.
So don't go there- Go somewhere where they at least pay their employees.
Price Change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The sessions are sooo much cheaper than what they used to be! Finally. Im writing in hopes that Color Tanning will keep them. Trust me, we all love and appreciate the change. You can pay the same everywhere else, but you pay for what you get here. The place is soo pretty and the machines are the best you can find in NY.
FREE tan for referring my friend.... Great way to get free tans, i brought in a few friends from school and ended up getting tans added to my account for each one. its great becuz no matter no matter what you can use whatever machine you want! so i can use the vest of the best everytime, the laydowns they have are usually really expensive everywhere else, but with the "refer a friend" system you can really score some extra tans. great for the recession :)

Seriously, get someone else to write them, becasue they are so clearly the same person.
AND...I've been there. No one who has been there is going to glow with enthusiasm after that horrible customer service and over charging

COOLEST Machines EVER >>>>. This placed has a great deal where you can tan free for an entire week by just getting one session..it was 39 dollars, which is great if you put your week to good use. I used every machine in the place. The lay downs were my favorite, super relaxing and huuuuge. The stand up machines are waaaay too strong but gave me awesome color in the first day. They were super helpful showing me what machines to use and set the time just right so I wouldnt burn. Mexico, here I come!
Airbrushing is FAB. I hope it can last a few more days....i can definitely score a few dates with skin like this, lol.
Get sprayed at your house!. I just celebrated my bachelorette party about 2 weeks ago and had all of my girlfriends over to get sprayed before we went out and about nyc. I have a pretty small apartment and was worried at first how she could spray 8 of us without trashing my apt. Instead, we were all sprayed standing in my bathtub!! She was very friendly and made two of the girls who were a little more modest than the rest feel super comfortable. It took about 15 mins for each of us. Our tans processed within 4 hours, in time for us to be showered and ready to go. I had such a blast. It was like being in college again. She even cleaned the shower before leaving. Spotless :)
New Prices. Ive been a member at Color for almost a year now and renew my package every 2 months. I was excited to see that the pricing has changed for the better. Cheaper packages, but you still get the same awesome equipment for the same price. You dont have to pay for points or upgrade fees. I believe they have the same promotion for a while ago where you can buy 1 tan and get a whole week for FREE on top. Great deal!
i have to admit there.... pricey! BUT the service was great, very straight forward, no hidden agenda, no heavy sales pressure, happy staff, clean facility, pretty design, everything is the same price, no point system, no classes of machines, no upgrades...by far the simplest price plan ive seen to date!
