If you have find yourself locked out of house, give them a call, they are open 24 hours, we even got a real customer service person at 1 in the morning!!

I just need my house rekey and called this guys. They gave me a fair price for the job and even fixed one of the door for free, it was fast and easy. I will save the number for sure.

Great service, excellent work, fair prices. What more can you ask for! I was very happy with their responsiveness. They rekeyed all of the locks throughout my home and they worked much better and smoother than before. I got new keys and better working locks. I would definitely use them again and I recommend him to anyone in need of a locksmith!

It was a wintery Friday night and I got home late to discover that my house had been broken into by my ex boyfriend who still had a key. I called the police and then called them because I had heard that the operate as a emergency locksmith. These guys came out straight away and did a lock re key for me. I was really surprised at the good price because it was late at night and it was an emergency locksmith service after all. I would definitely call them if I ever need emergency locksmith services again.

Very efficient service – These guys have great Service!!!, I recently had a serious problem with a roommate who I definitely needed to not have access to my apartment any longer...and so long story short after i removed them from the premises I had to get my locks changed very quickly since they had key copies to all the locks. So I called up these guys at all star locksmith, and to be honest from their reviews on here i was a bit skeptical at first but they are close to my location and i needed my locks changed asap. They came over in about 30 minutes replaced my cylinders in a flash and I also chose to have them install one of those bars on the door so nobody can pry my door open. I was very happy with how efficient they were and hopefully I won't need my locks changed again because of a bad roommate, but if so I would definitely use them again.

Good Reviews are fake! – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I should have payed attention to the reviews, but I actually had success with this company once, only to find return business isn't always a promise of good things to come. A very rude and condescending service person showed up to our place for an appointment made days in advance. He quoted prices that were grossly inflated from our last purchase, tried to sell us security when we kept trying to keep him on track for re-keying locks, told us he didn't even have the proper equipment to do the job (????) and said it wouldn't be available until Monday, which is a holiday, so he was wrong about that, and when we told him we had receipts showing his price quotes were outrageous and very inflated from the last service, he rudely told us to "fine. get them". I thought to myself "that sounded a bit confrontational" I mean we are talking double the last visit and I'm sure he smelled money and sized us up as being able to afford it, which is why he inflated the cost. Feeling distrust already, I thought who cares if I get a better price, I STILL don't want to do business with this guy. He seemed very sketchy. At this point we'd had enough and I told him to "hit the road". He promptly left, then sat in his van for 5 minutes on the phone before returning. He then informed us his boss said we owed them $45 for the visit! Now, we would totally pay any visitation fees quoted at the time the appointment was made, there was never a discussion of a visitation fee. EVER. As a matter of fact we never even spoke to the owner, we called the number for the last techinician that came by and got the one that showed up that day. So if it WAS policy, he didn't do his job to tell us about the fee when we called. This guy was so mad we told him to leave that he called his boss and he decided we owed him. He even threatened to call the cops, so I did it for him. And he even said they would believe him over me because he was a locksmith!? I called his boss after calling the cops and from speaking to his boss, I was sure he decided to charge us $45 because he thought I was rude. Turns out the employee quoted me to his boss when I told him to "take a hike". When I said he never told me about a fee for the visit, his reply was "well, you were rude". I told the owner his karma would be bad for trying to sell off a lie to the cops. No business in this economy should be in the business of dishonesty. Needless to say, his worker drove off minutes later. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE "FRIENDLY RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER I spoke to him directly today and he was so very rude. I can't believe there aren't more complaints.

sorry i need to write this, but in our defense this woman has mental problems and is full of herself.besides never producing a receipt for the work we had done she likes to lord over everyone including her boyfriend who didn't peep without her approval.as she said she had made an appointment in advance and was told about the service call..in a nutshell. she is an out rite liar an over exaggerated the facts. unfortunately there are people who have nothing better to do.

Zero consideration for customers' time – I went to Allstar to buy a deadbolt for my apt door. I planned on having my super install it, but the guy was adamant that most supers don’t know how to do this correctly and convinced me that I needed a professional to do it. I don’t know if that was true, but not wanting to take a risk, I had them do it, even though it cost me a lot more money.

They tried to sell me on other security features such as the big metal bar that goes along the door and some kind of brass plate to go over the lock, but with installation, it ran hundreds of dollars more than I planned to spend. I declined those items and just got the deadbolt and installation. They didn’t try to pressure me into the other things.

I can’t comment on prices because I didn’t do any comparison shopping, but I doubt they’re any more expensive than other neighborhood places.

Now, here’s why I’m giving them only 1 star. I made an appointment for the installation later that week at a specific time. Well, I waited and waited, and after a half hour, I called them. They said they were on their way, but I had the distinct impression they hadn’t even left the store! Are they completely disorganized? Did they forget? Did they just not care? Who knows? Two of them finally showed up (mind you, this is now almost an hour after the appointed time) and they spent the first 10 minutes chit-chatting. I mean, just shooting the breeze, completely oblivious to the hour of my time they just wasted waiting for them. I asked them to please install the lock, as I had things to do. So they started and then realized the battery of the power drill (which they need to drill the holes) was dead! So now they had to go down to the truck and get another battery. They came back 5 minutes later and started the job, but they moved slowly because they kept stopping to chit-chat. One of the guys then left. I have no idea why two of them showed up in the first place; only one actually did the work. Then he told me he had the wrong screws and went back down to the truck. Well, 10 minutes later, he still hadn’t returned. So I looked out my window, which faces the street, and to my utter amazement, the truck was gone!!!! I kid you not!!!

So I called the store and was told that he had to go back there because he didn’t have the correct screws on the truck! At this point, I was so aggravated that I just wanted to cancel the whole darn thing, but he had already drilled the hole in my door. He finally returned and acted as if he didn’t have a care in the world, as if time meant nothing. I was very upset and told him sternly that he needed to finish the job in the next 15 minutes because I had to leave for an appointment. He finally finished the job.

It was like a Seinfeld episode, only I wasn’t laughing. They wasted my entire morning and I arrived very late to my appointment.

Then, they had they had the audacity to litter the entire building with their business cards. They were stuck in everyone's door (the bldg is large), a stack was left on the bells in the vestibule, AND they put up stickers on the mailboxes and bells. My super was aggravated because he had to clean up all that litter and scrape off the stickers. Again, zero respect for the customer!!

So here’s my take: while they’re competent, they have zero consideration or respect for their customers’ time. To not show up on time or call to say they’re running late, and not even to apologize, and then to just disappear, is simply unacceptable. And littering the buidling with their business cards and stickers is just adding insult to injury. These guys operate in some parallel universe where time doesn’t exist and appointments mean nothing; where customers should accommodate them rather than the other way around – despite having made an appointment!

When I move, I’m taking my expensive deadbolt with me, but I will absolutely NOT use them to uninstall it or to put it in my new apt.

Ignore the obvious shills – If you do any local research at all, you will find a litany of terrible reviews about this awful company.

I recently had my first (and last) experience with this company via my landlord (who will not be hiring them again either).

Extremely poor service (no shows, slow, shoddy work), no follow-up (they just disappear after doing a bad job and never pickup their phone or call again), no return of phone calls to fix the job they botched (despite claiming that they will call back in 10(!) minutes after you leave a message (I left three and have yet to hear from them - two weeks later)) - all just as described in many places online.

Avoid like the plague - there are much better options in the neighborhood!
