BEST MARGARITAS!!! – MAS MARGARITAS! I came upon this place cause my boyfirnd and I were crazing some margaritas and since we were in the area and I had heard about it from work we decided to stop by.
OMG I am soo glad we did!! This is my new Fav place. We started off with some FREE guacamole! Yes FREE! awesome! Not only was it free, it was actually home made and fresh!!! wow! So on to my margarita! so I strted off with a perfect margarita, so yummy. They are soo good, you seriosuly drink them like water! so then I upgraded to a millionaire Margarita! OMG This is the BEST margarita I have ever had!!! Seriosuly! I know my margaritas and this was pretty amazing!!
I seriosuly cant even begin to tell you about how amazing the rest of the place is! The decor and ambiance of this place is just so different form your regular Mexican joint. They had a 10 piece Mariachi band playing which was so awesome! Usually I tend to stay away from places with music cause they either have a minimum or cover charge, yup none! YAY I LOVE this place!!
Your in for a treat!!! – why cant I give this place more stars!! So i stumbled upon this place on a friday night with 2 of my girlfriends. We were craving some margaritas and this place was the closest to my house. I have passed it hundreds of times but it always looked closed, thats until i found out its only open for dinner!
So we stolled up pretty early for happy hour and sad to say No happy hour here but your know why once you walk inside.
The decor of this plac is just beautiful. The have these beautiful paintings on the wall of Im guessing Family memebers?? We ordered a round of Margaritas...YUM!!! and not only that FREE GUACAMOLE!! Score!! and thats not even the ends of it. We were already almost ready to go when a huge Mariachi band comes onto a stage and puts on a show!
What a treat!! the show was so awesome they even had some mexican folk dancers. I have never been so impressed with such a beauitiful place!! Kudos to Casa Sanchez! Kepp it up!
BEST Mesican Food and music in West LA!! – I must say this place took me and my husband by surprise!! We love Mariachi and love having a margarita from time to time so when a good friend of mine told me about this place we jumped right on it and checked it out. WOW! We were taken back by the decor, IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! They have a beautiful stage where the Mariachi sing and have dancers dance 1 song. I must say this they have 1 woman singer, SHE SINGS LIKE AN ANGEL!! She sang a song and literally gave me goose bumps and I teared up a little. The whole Mariachi group in fantastic!! I am hoping they are able to book gigs because I would love for them to sing at my cousins wedding!!
The servers are sooooooo nice!! They are very attentive to your needs. Food is delicious!! I had the mole enchiladas and i literally wanted to lick the plate it was that good!! My husband had the NY steak and he ate it right up! It was a little under cooked for my liking but he said it was delicious.
This place is seriously one of a kind! I have never seen a restaurant this beautiful and this good! I loved the atmoshpere! Its not your typical snooty people who make you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, it is the total opposite! You are welcomed with a smile and you leave with a smile from the service, music and the food!!
Id give it 10 stars if I could!! Cant wait to go back!!!
Best Mexican Restaurant – This place is so pretty , once you step into this restaurant you are surprised on how nice and different it is from other mexican restaurants everyone is use to going. I had a surprise birthday for my mother outside in the patio and my whole family loved it. The service was fantastic they were always asking if we needed anything else to drink and the servers were always there if we had any questions. We even had the Mariachi band singing songs that my family requested and they were having the time of thier lives singing along with the mariachi. If you love margaritas try the cadillac and personally I love the Irma bellini.
Not your typical Mexican Restaurant – Yup, place is usually pretty busy on weekends. So use open table or call in to make a res. During the week, you should be fine. This is the only restaurant in LA that I know that has not only lots of space for parking but also free valet. So when you walk into the place you are just wowed! On the ceiling is art work and a sky, which makes you feel like you are outside; kind of like those vegas hotel malls. Very nice paint color earth tones, rustic architecture and vintage art work honoring classic latin celeberties. There is a bar area and if you have a large party ,the main dining room or outside patio is perfect. The outdoor patio is very nice, large and has a waterfall. A great place to ecscape the Mariachi music if you wish.. so in the main dining room you actually get to hear a real Mariachi band and see Mexican dancers. They really put on a show and play some old classic American hits. It's a good time. The food ranks in my top 3 for mexican food. First of all who gives out free chips, salsa and guacamole these days....no one besides these guys. Even chipotle ,charges you a few bucks for this. The dishes range from Mexican classic to chef created fusion dishes. Definitely get the Sanchez Platter appetizer and get their most expensive margarita. Just one of those margaritas will get you buzzed. Service most of the time is pretty good on giving you more salsa when the bowl is empty. I have only experienced one occassion when the service was bad. I just think the waitress was having a bad day. All in all this is one of my favorite restaurants; perfect to take a date, celebrate a special occasion or just have a good nite out with friends. Don't go to chipotle and get ripped off, get the most bang for your buck and enjoy a real Mexican experience.
Good place for margaritas! – This is a great place to enjoy mariachi music and food, not really to sit together and talk since the music is live and loud, but great singer, by the way, and great repertoire (that was the first time I hear a mariachi band singing in English). I had the camarones a la diabla, spicy as they should be. Not crazy about the rice and beans with shredded cheddar cheese, but that is just how Mexican food is served in the US, so no big deal.
The mango margarita was very good, service was nice and prompt. I wasn't crazy about the dessert selection, which is better for me since I didn't have any, but wouldn't mind having something more attractive that wasn't in the selection, like crepas de cajeta or a traditional jamoncillo.
Anyway, this is a good spot, I'm definitely recommending this place to friends.
Citysearch Editorial Review – You'd never know it from the peaceful hacienda-style exterior (except maybe on weekend evenings when the parking lot is jammed), but Casa Sanchez keeps things hoppin' on this fairly quiet stretch of Centinela. Inside, live music fills the space as the aroma of tequila-grilled salmon, chile poblanos drizzled in brandy rose cream, chocolatey mole enchiladas and other Mexican delicacies waft through the air. Aside from a handful of small tables and booths along the walls, the spacious main dining room is lined with long group tables that promise a good view of the stage where mariachis play Thursday through Sunday evening. (Live jazz and piano on other nights.) There is also a charming outdoor patio for al fresco dining as well as a private upstairs room for those who prefer to celebrate with less fanfare.
Was not impressed! – My husband ordered the mole enchiladas. The menu did not state with what meat it came with so they brought him chicken when he would have preferred cheese. The waitress offered to send it back but, she should have asked first. For the price they should have used good quality chicken, it was not, they used dark meat which is not good for enchiladas. The beans came out of a can. I don't recommend this place for dinner.
