My family stayed overnight at this motel, as we were in Glenwood Springs to visit the hot springs pool. We have visited the US from Australia on numerous occasions and we have never found a reasonably priced motel with as many nice amenities such as this. The owners were quite friendly, the breakfast included waffles that you made yourself (good fun), also pastries and tea/coffee. In the motel room, we found a good sized refrigerator, iron, hair dryer and microwave and large flat screen TV with free cable. There was also tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was very clean.
The view from our room (on the second floor) was absolutely beautiful, (a bonus was a beautiful sunset over the mountains).
We would recommend it for short/long stays and will be staying here again, when visiting this area in the future.
Friendly staff, good location, awesome view, and right off the highway! We only stopped here for the night while driving across the country and I wish we could have stayed longer.
I was very pleased with this property. My room (209) was clean. This includes the bath. The bed was comfy. It did not have a lot of street noise and my neighbors were quiet. Breakfast was spartan but, for the price ($66 on 17Mar12), it had everything one needs. The owners/caretakers appear to take pride in their property.
The Inn is clean and quiet (even though it is close to the freeway).
The breakfast was OK for an Inn in this price range.
The 2 managers were attentive and answered all of our questions on local restaurants, and fixed all of the minor problems we had -hot water being one of them .

Had the pleasure of staying at the Rodeway Inn on a last minute year end trip to Glenwood Springs. Due to past bad experiences with ecomony lodgings, we normally stay at the more high end establishments.
But as most hotels were booked for the holidays, the only available rooms were at the Rodeway.
When we checked in we were very pleasantly surprized to find that the rooms & bath areas were immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable, heating system ( though a bit noisy ) had no trouble keeping the room comfortably warm. The room was equipted with wide screen LCD TV with a reasonable selection of Cable channels. The Wi-Fi computer access worked flawlessly with no difficulties in access or log on.
This property is located only a short drive from all the attractions & eatting establishments in the down town area. However, the 25 mph local speed limits do make most local trips seem to be much longer than they really are. The property is located near the highway & railroad right of way. However, the rooms remained quiet and passing cars & trains were only barely perceptable.
Breakfast is provided with the room. The eatting area is in the lobby and is quiet small. THe choice of breakfast items is somewhat limited but acceptable considering the price paid for the room.
Overall, our stay was very pleasant. Walter, the owner of the establishment was always happy to do whatever he could to help make out stay comfortable. He always had time to give directions to local sights or offer help.
We would defintiely recommend the Roadway Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at a bargain price. The place is clean, comfortable and safe !
Stayed one night on our way from Rocky Mountain National Park to Colorado National Monument. Our king room was totally redone. Not just new tile slapped over old but new fixtures, carpeting, etc. Very comfortable bed, good linens, microwave and frig, large TV, and free WiFi. The breakfast area is very small, but we just took cereal, bagels, juice and coffee back to our room. Did not have the waffles, but they smelled delicious. All outside entrances. One building is two floors and the other 3, so there are some steps involved. There is road noise, but you are in the Colorado river valley with mountains all around so everything is close to the highway. In a vacation area where the prices seemed very high, our $90 room was a bargain. Very friendly and helpful staff.
My wife and I stayed here for three nights in early March 2007. Requested and received a room near the excellent hot tub. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning consisted of cereal, rolls, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, milk, orange juice and even hot waffles served 6-9 a.m. We enjoyed chatting with the very friendly front desk clerk while having our breakfast. The room also has a coffee maker and hair dryer.
Although there is some freeway noise (most motels in Glenwood are either on the freeway or on CO 82 to Aspen), it was a very nice stay and I highly recommend this Rodeway Inn. We also got a great price by booking online at the hotels website.
Great value for our summer trip. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view of the red mountain greets you in the morning. Great staff and a good breakfast to get us ready for our day.
This is a great hotel to stay at! I stayed two nights here and didn't want to leave when it was time. Although it was built in the 70s, everything has been redone and looks brand new. The carpet & tile in the room was new and I wasn't afraid to step on it (unlike some other hotels). All the fixtures were new. I was also told that the mattresses were 1 week old! They were so soft and plush, I wish my mattress at home was as comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The complimentary breakfast was about what you would expect, toast, juice, coffee, tea, cereal, bagels, and some type of danish. From now on when I take my annual trip to Glenwood Springs, I will definitely be staying here!
The owners of this hotel are meticulous. There is not one thing out of place or that needs repair. The family who own it are personable, and bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. They want you to feel like family and make every effort for that to become true.
The rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, bathrooms clean and tidy. Breakfast consists of cereals, waffles, bagels, pastry, juice, excellent coffee (made in quantities in the fastest coffee maker I have ever seen).
There is a washer and dryer available.
Staying in this establishment was one of the best things I will take back with me about this trip.
