Gonna Miss It – Wow! I moved from Denver and then back again and was VERY sad to see that Magia has closed. I know at first they had a tough time "getting things right" but they accomplished that and then some the longer they were in business. I just think they were ahead of the times and most folks unfortunately were not familiar with the tapas concept. Too bad, especially in these tough economic times where small plates and portions are now in demand. It also was a great place to party! They had some of the best music groups in on Fridays and Saturdays. I will especially miss that. It's very difficult to find a nice place to gather, have some great food and wine, listen to some great music and chill out. There was no place else like it in the nearby surrounding area. Now where do I go without having to go all the way downtown?

Huh? – Not sure what Lilly1971 is talking about as the restaurant has been closed since August so how could someone have possibly eaten there in November, 2008????? Goes to show how reliable and accurate the reviews can be. Also gotta wonder why someone would trash a closed restaurant!?!? Maybe reviews for restaurants should be taken with a grain of salt. All it takes is a few "bad reviews" and a restaurant is in trouble. Give any thought to the fact that disgruntled employees, etc can write anything they want and the general public is inclined to believe it??????????????? Such a shame...

DEFINITELY NOT WORTH TRYING – Seriously, how is this place still in business? My husband and I ate here almost a year ago, and I still remember how bad the food was. You could tell the dishes used frozen Green Giant vegetables. It was obvious that there was imitation crab in the dishes too. Definitely not worth trying.

Where did the 6 hrs go? It was great!! – We heard that bistro Magia had wine tastings on Saturdays.

We stopped in to see what was happening. Italian wine was being featured.

(3 reds and one white). (a different country every week) We decided to try it out.

It was 10 bucks per person and we were given 4 tastings about 2.5 oz each and then we were given a regular glass of our favorite at the end. I?ve been to tastings before and this one was good!

Complimentary tapas were brought out to ?cleanse the palate ? between tastings.

It was somewhat of a social event, very nice folks talking to us that we had never met before.

Before we knew it the tasting was over and we were comfortably seated watching the entertainment set up.

A young female vocalist (trio) started singing and we decided to stay for dinner.

The wife and I had the signature dish, Paella. We had heard of the dish but never tried it. It was a very good choice. A rice dish with lots of seafood and meats, recommended for two people, at thirty dollars?.couldn't?t go wrong. The staff were great and overly attentive. We had coffee, fancy, tasty desserts and cordials, talked and listened to the music.

6hrs later we walked out, wondering where the time went!! we were very happy customers and will be definitely be back . Oh The Besame me martini and French Cosmo.......was to die for!!

HORRIBLE food, no taste, DO NOT bother going! – If you truly know what authentic spanish food is, then this is NOT the place for you. I am Puerto Rican and I recently moved from Florida, where Latin/Spanish food is plentiful, so I am a little more picky than the average person when it comes to Latin/Spanish food.

The service was ok, nothing special but the food was probably by far the most disgusting food I've ever had in my life. I've been places where I've managed to "force down" the food but I couldn't do so on this occassion. My fiance and I ordered the Mussles which had no taste at all and the musles had a very sea/fishy taste. We ordered the Paella for our main course, and were sadly disappointed. The presentation was ok but the food was questionable. The Seafood Paella also tasted fishy and was very chewy and bland. I wouldn't go back to this place even if they paid me and gave me the food for free. We just finished eating from there and I still have a fishy taste in my mouth. NASTY!!!!!!!!!! I have to go brush my teeth and rinse my mouth out now.

Great time, authentic cuisine tasteful Mediteranium decor – Totally enjoyable night at Bistro Magia.

It was recommended to me by the Marriott Townhouse

Suites in Southwest Littleton and they were right on.

The Spanish cuisine was excellent. I started out with a

Glass of the red homemade Sangria and it definitely had a kick.

The wait staff mentioned the fruit marinated for at least 6 weeks.

I was given a complimtary mashed potato tapas that was deep-fried and

served with a spicy sauce. Very tasty and complimented the wine.

Next on the agenda was the Garlic Shrimp. This Tapas was delicious?savory

with the right amount of garlic in the shrimp. On to the main entree that was

the medium rare Lamb Chops. I know my lamb and this ranked

as one of my favorites. The Spanish glass of wine, Septima Syrah was

paired by the wait staff and an excellent choice. The live music a Jazz

Trio was very good but could have been toned down a little. All in all,

a very enjoyable night. I?m on business from the east coast where Spanish cuisine is

Plentiful and authentic and the city of Littleton has a little hidden Jewell in this Restaurant.

High hopes, empty stomachs – My girlfriend and I noticed this "bistro" recently and decided to give it a try one Friday night. BIG mistake. The first thing both of us noticed was the temperature of the place once we sat down. I'd recommend bringing at least a couple layers, because apparently they don't have heat in this establishment. We each ordered a drink, and ordered an appitizer and split an order of paella. We ordered one of their warm tapas, steamed mussels, which came out served in a bowl with pasta. The presentation was good, the food was awful. The mussels were overcooked and rubbery, and the pasta they were served with was overcooked as well and lumped together. Around 20 minutes after our appetizer came out, they served our main dish--seafood pallea. I was a little bit apprehensive about eating anything further from here, especially seafood, and rightly so. All of the seafood was overcooked and rubbery, similar to our appetizers. The dish itself looked like they'd picked up a box of peas and rice and some frozen seafood and thrown it together.

I've eaten in a lot of restaurants, all around the U.S. and the World, and I've never had a dish that was so awful that I couldn't fight through it. In this case, I couldn't even make the effort--it was that bad. My girlfriend actually gagged at one point! We each had a couple bites and then asked for the check.

The owner (I assume) tried to convince the two of us that pallea should be that way, but finally reduced our bill by around half after I told him that I've never had ANYTHING that bad.

If this restaurant hopes to be around much longer, they're going to need some major a new chef for starters.

Horrible food – My son and I ordered the portabello stack and the quail tapas. The quail was a tiny portion served on a bed of tasteless noodles ($10). The portabello stack ($15) was overcooked & the bottom burned (a hockey puck). They exchanged this for chili steak bites, which were just okay (many fatty pieces) and not a great value for $10. Happy hour is over at 6 PM, so we didn't order drinks. Everyone who worked there seemed extremely friendly. Nice atmosphere. I hope they make it, but their food quality is going to need to improve dramatically or they will be out of business soon.

What happened to your chef!!!!! – Ok I went to Bistro with some friends one night during the week of Christmas and the service was awesome. Loved the food, great flavor, wonderful presentation. Even more awesome that the Chef Mike came out to talk to us. Not everday you get to meet the artist who created your delicious meal. Well, we came back this last week and Chef Mike isn't there any more and well so went the wonderful food. Just did not taste the same. What happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Truly feel they made a mistake letting go such a talented Chef. Good luck staying in business.

Romantic – My wife and I ate here several weeks ago. We were very impressed with the presentation of food and the waitress service. We felt like we were eating with family. The waitress was funny and was very helpful. She was able to help us make a great selection of tapas. Everything tasted great. The resturant was beautiful. We recommended the resturant to a friend who went after us. They found consistency and loved the Jersey girl. Again the chef came out and spoke with them which made the perfect end to a great evening. The happy hour was great and your wine selection great. We hope you stay open and we will definitely call in advance to see if Nancy and Mike the chef is there.
