I recently purchased 2 vehicles from Westgate Jeep. It was an extremely pleasant, positive experience. My sales person was attentive to my request in shopping for a vehicle for myself and my teenage son. They were thoroughly professional, addressed all of my concerns and even repaired something after the sale, which most dealers tend not to do once they have your money! Upon delivery, both cars were very clean and filled with gas! The business manager was very helpful and called my insurance agent while I was there in his office. This was one of the best car-buying experiences ever! I highly recommend Westgate Chrysler Dodge Jeep to anyone interested in purchasing a new or pre-owned automobile.

Westgate Dodge proudly adheres to the “used car salesman” stereotype. No integrity.

I recently purchased a used Ram 1500 from Westgate Dodge in Raleigh. The sales guy was nice enough, but seemed mostly lost throughout the process. He left my wife and me at the table at least three times during the deal to do who knows what, and in the end I felt like I did most of the work. On the plus side, he did seem to enjoy our snacks. Note to future customers: bring treats.

Best of all, their “auto detailing” included wiping off only the driver’s side of the truck (I fully admit I should have noticed, but cut me some slack, it took so long it was dark when I left). When I did spot it the following morning and returned to get the other half of my truck actually detailed, I was told that I was not a priority customer. In their defense, it had been a whopping 16 hours since I had purchased the truck. Apparently they now had “higher-priority” customers to deal with. You know, the ones they hadn’t already collected a check from. Did my salesman help out? Nope (no more snacks for that guy), but he did bounce pass me to the service manager. I don’t know who he was, but he clearly didn’t care, and his answer for me at one point was to return the truck. I of course declined, because other than being half-covered in dirt, the truck was fine.

If you are considering purchasing a car from Westgate Dodge, don’t bother! I say just keep driving as there are tons of other dealerships right down the street! If you do decide to buy here, bring a bucket of water and some soap! They’ll be happy to let you do their work.

Great Deal - Easy Process! – We found a used Dodge truck online and were surprised it not only had low miles but had a camper shell on top. It sort of looked like a "work" truck but we actually wanted the shell to keep gear in when hunting or camping. The price was AMAZING - I wondered if there was something we didn't know. Turns out it was a lease turn in (hence the price) so we new that whatever company had it was contracted to take good care of it. Wait - so I'm getting a mechanically sound vehicle with low miles and a bonus topper? We had to have it! We found out they didn't have keys to the topper but we could get those replaced as part of the deal. Overall the paperwork only took about 30 minutes and we were on our way in our new truck! Very happy with our purchase and the subsequent service since then. We wanted another key and I spoke with Joe in parts, who advised me that they had keys in stock, and they could program in about 30 minutes. Again, short wait and good price!!

Not your average dealer-100% Better – Just bought a new 2011 Jeep Compass, and the experience was the best! My salesperson was Emily - really nice and very patient. No run-around - they settle with you on the price for the car, and then you talk about your trade-in. Not like the experiences I have had at other dealerships.

I have already told three people who are car shopping that they need to check out this dealership.

Wonderful dealership – These guys are Great...just bought my second new vehicle from them in one months time, so have had the opportunity to meet some very knowledgeable and friendly folks like; Joe in parts who knows his stuff, Paul in service is also great not to mention Emily, Brian, Steve, Garrett, Thomas and Bill in sales and finance who are all fantastic. After shopping the vehicles I wanted everywhere I landed at Westgate and no one beat the deal!!! I could tell these folk really wanted my business and intended to make me a lifelong customer rather than a one shot deal. highly reccomend you see these folks for all your automotive needs.

Bad Biz Practice - Customers treated as a dime-a-dozen – The sales person told me they took Capital One blank checks but called 4 hours later and said they wouldn't take it because we lived a state away and Capital One takes too long to pay them, so the only way they would sell me the car is if I used their financing, which turned out to be almost a point higher in interest and required a down payment. The dealer is on Capital One's preferred dealer list. I spoke with the manager, Ken and told him to drop the price the amount of the difference in interest and it came out to $720. He said he couldn't do that. I asked if he was willing to "kill a sale over $720" and he said, "I wouldn't be because the car will sell in 2 or 3 days anyway". This clearly indicates that this company sees their customers as a dime-a-dozen and has no respect for thm what-so-ever. I called Capital One and they were furious and took all of their information and said they would investigate and that the company could end up getting taken off their list.

This business just changed management at the end of 2010 and this just shows that their practices have not changed. Actually, we got the same nasty catch-phrases from both the sales person and the manager, so these kinds of practices are being passed through the company as a way of business.

Great body shop – I recently took my toyota camary in for repair when i was involved in a rear end collision . They did a fantastic job with the total repair from start to finish . The car was given back to me in better conditiion than it was before the accident . the car was detailed inside and out . Fantastic customer service and they kept me informed during the entire process. I will always go there if i have any other collision or other service needs .i will definitely recommend them to any of my friends and family

much improved! – This dealer has a new owner. I am a Jeep enthusiast and have noticed the service was greatly improved since the changeover. Both the sales and service people are more friendly and egear to please. I got a great price on a used Jeep Wrangler and feel great about the technitions helping me keep it in top shape.

Westgate Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Service ROCKS! – Popped in at Westgate Jeep the other day to get that last minute inspection before the due date, an oil change and to question a pull to the right on my older model Lexus. Was in a bit of a hurry but they told me they should get me in and out in no more than an hour! Forty-one minutes later- sooner than promised - I was backing out and waiving goodbye. Jack did a fantastic job doing the inspection, checking all my fluid levels and balancing a tire that had lost one of its weights. While Jack worked in the back the new car folks were friendly and informative while I broused the showroom and huge selection of Jeeps and Vans. Everybody seemed warm and welcoming. Jack came out to tell me the reason the car had been pulling to the right and explained what he had done. An easy enough problem but the whole operation was professional and fast. I'll definitely return for future work at Westgate! Great folks, great service.
