Wow. How do I say "wow" more passive aggressively? Can Matt give me some answers here? Perhaps he could give me directions to a jeweler instead of a gift shop for jewelry repair?
I have been going to the Heather Shop since I was a little girl.
This is a comfortable store, with a charming, old fashioned mindset, for people with good taste. There are expensive things, items for those on a budget, as well as adorable stock for children and babies. I have found them most knowledgeable of everything in the store; how they memorize all that is beyond me!
They giftwrap for free and with courtesy. How awesome is that?
I have never once had a bad experience as a Holden resident for 17 years. I still come back from college to visit this shop sometimes.
Five stars easily and with gusto. I love small businesses like this.
wow – i wanted to rate 0 stars but it wouldn't let me. I don't think think there could be a better selection of bitchy employees. I have only had 2 experiences with this shop and both went horribly. The first time I was going to pick out a Christmas gift for my girlfriend and when asking questions for suggestions got no help what so ever. Every one in there has a don't bother me attitude and don't even seem like they know what they are selling. My other experience is through my girlfriend who wanted help repairing a piece of jewelry that a piece had fallen off of. Instead of trying to help or making suggestions on how or wear to fix it, a couple employees talked openly among themselves, with my girlfriend and other customers clearly in ear shot, about how its all her fault for it being broken and other snobby comments that were completely unnecessary and immature. Immature comments could maybe be expected from younger, inexperienced employees but these were from elderly women who have nothing better to do but be snobby.
Whoever the manager of this store is needs to get there act together and stop hiring angry old women who are useless to any one and everyone. I've been there twice ever, and won't be again, and hopefully me writing this will be a message to any readers not to bother giving there business to a waste of space store.
Great experience – I recently went to the Heather Shop to pick up a Pandora bracelet for my wife. The women behind the counter took the time to show me a variety of choices they had available. I brought my son along with me and we simply told them things my wife likes to do and they picked out charms that were exactly what we were looking for. They were very knowledgeable about the product, offered great suggestions and did so in an upbeat and kind manner. They even took the time to take everything off the bracelet once we had it all set up because we decided at the last minute we wanted the charms in a different order. I have been coming to the Heather Shop since I've lived in Holden and continually get great service and knowledgeable sales staff. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great gift for a mom, wife or girlfriend as they always seem to be up on the latest trends.
Terrible customer service – i went to the heather shop on my wife's recommendation to get her some pandora charms for christmas. the clerks there were joking amongst themselves about how they had so much power over all the customers. one big haired dunce did nothing but wrap things and gab with the other clerks while customers waited. when one of the old crones finally got around to waiting on me and my sons, she was condescending and actually steered me away from the more expensive charms like i could not afford them. i had to go back there after christmas to exchange some slippers my wife bought for her grandmother. the big haired crone who did nothing but wrap the previous trip there was still doing the same thing while customers waited. when a clerk finally waited on me, she was again condescending and wanted to see a receipt but finally said to look for the size i needed and pointed to where the slippers were located then walked away. there was nothing but x-large left which i can understand since it is after christmas but then i was unable to get anyone attention for a few minutes. i finally took the slippers and walked out. i will let my wife deal with those people. they don't seem to understand that they are clerks. anyone can be a retail clerk. it is not a status symbol job. high school kids can do it as can old crones. high school kids do a better job though. if you want to be treated like you are a serf in their lofty kingdom, go ahead and shop here otherwise, there are plenty of conveniently located stores who would like your business.
Will never shop there again – I went there to buy three Pandora Charms. I was waiting in line, while holding my 1 year old daughter, for 15 minutes. When it was finally my turn, they totally looked right over me and asked the man behind me if they could help him. Probably right then, I should've turned and walked out. I stayed and eventually someone else asked if I was being helped. I chose my three Pandora Charms. I can't say that they were too nice to me about taking out of the case to show them to me. Then I paid with VISA giftcards and they were rude to me about that. I will never, never shop there again. I even wrote them a letter about my experience and they never wrote me back. Nice way to do business Heather Shop!
pleasant helpful, quality products – have bought Pandora beads at various holidays when it is very busy. They took the time to listen to my requests, showed me options and took care of the wrapping. They have great selections of various popular products lines. I have traveled 10 mies out of my way every time I shop there because I know they will have what I want and will give me the service I expect
Please do NOT shop there – Went in to buy two pandora beads and four $25 gift cards. The woman put the beads each in a gift bag (which said "Pandora" on them). I asked for two small boxes (not pandora boxes but the cheap cardboard ones I could see a lot of on the shelf) because I like to box up and wrap my own gifts myself (basically put the little bags in a box and wrap it with regular christmas paper).
At first she refused saying "This is considered wrapped." Then gave me one box, but was adamant about not giving me two.
This was incomprehensible to me on several levels. 1) She will not be at our house Christmas morning, so why does she care how I wrap my gifts? 2) Why give me one box? Either refuse to give me any, or give me the two I asked for. 3) Why does she care so much about a cardboard box? How much could it possibly cost them? Over a box they lost the sale of $100 in gift cards, plus I will never shop there again. GREAT business decision. Atmosphere of snobbishness an condescension was pervasive.
