Wrong prescription, switching without notice – The Walgreens in Conway did not tell me when it switched out what the doctor prescribed with what the company believed I should I have. The pharmacist did not say what he was doing and did not disclose the medication switch, which my mother and I discovered once I got home.
When called, the pharmacist said there was no difference between the medications, but when I looked it up, there was a difference, including how the drug works and what fillers are used.
You can't take the wrong medicine back or get your prescription refilled correctly. This has caused a delay in my medication, unnecessary expense and worry. He also said he switches medication routinely, but I don't think my doctor knows this. He also said he routinely does not tell customers about his switches.
The pharmacist did not know about certain drugs. He also seemed not to be knowledgeable of generic or name brand prescriptions.
But beyond simple ignorance, the wrong medicine with no way to return or fill the correct prescription is a business practice that is purposefully misleading and deceptive. Beware of this pharmacy.
Very poor customer service – I have never been treated so poorly as I was at this pharmacy. The pharmacy tech. (Megan) was very rude to me and not only did I witness the pharmicist being rude to another customer, she did not offer any kind of help about the medicine I was trying to get filled. (Walgreens didn't have it in stock) Because of the way I was treated, I got my rx's back and went to Kroger pharmacy. That is where I was told I could get it over the counter and at a cheaper price. I will never spend another dollar at Walgreens again!
