WoW.. I work near there and was shocked to now see tham open for lunch. The lunch sandwich menu is good and the new floors and menu shocked me. I dont know when they did all that but it looks just as good as the food tastes. Coming here thursday - saturday for dinner with the wife is a great time then sitting in the lounge after. Great food good crowd.

Texas style roadhouse with local flavor. I'm a first time reviewer here, but this place surprised me so much I had to say so. Lil Texas is a classic "locals" joint. You won't find a formulaic, corporate marketing-inspired decor here! But, the folks treated us like old friends. The food is prepared with real passion and it shows. The brisket was truly amazing (every bit as good as my favorite Somerville bbq joint) and the pork tenderloin was tres delish. Sides were very well done too: spicy beans and a perfect coleslaw were my choices. The kids don't get stuck with cookie-cutter, factory formed chicken nuggets or corn dogs either. Everything was freshly battered, moist and tender - even my pickiest eater enjoyed eating here.

Like a few places I enjoyed outside Austin while on business trips (you know, the bbq at the local gas station kind of places), Lil Texas is not fancy, but the excellent food and friendly locals make it worth the stop.

Lil Texas. Lil Texas is a real home cookin kinda place. The food may take a little longer to get to your table but worth the wait for a hot, home cooked meal. The portions are big and the first basket of tortilla chips and salsa are on the house. The best Margaritas around and you cant beat the price anywhere else!!! So kick up your heals and giddie up over to Lil Texas!! It is worth the drive! Very friendly waitstaff! Enjoy!
