Dock street brews are brewed in-house and always a treat, the pizza is great, too
Dock Street has set up shop at a bunch of different locations in the city over the years, but really found its spiritual home in this beautiful converted firehouse in Cedar Park. Great spot for community events, or just catching up with neighbors over a pint.
The brewery was only founded in 1985, but that’s enough to make it one of the first microbreweries—and its firehouse home was built in 1903.
Pass on the greasy pizza & guzzle down their wonderful beers. Best brewpub in West Philly?
One of Philadelphia's premiere brewpubs has reemerged in an old-world firehouse in University City and neighbors and students say cheers. – In Short
The former 50th Street Farmer's Market finds new life yet again, this time as a venerable brewpub with deep Philly roots brought back by its original owners. A casual menu pivots on a broad array of pizzas including barbeque chicken and a vegan option. Apple-smoked calzones, tuna melts, and beer battered fish and chips are all popular favorites. But the emphasis is on the beer with rotating taps of seasonal varieties, giving westsiders a convenient option on University City's outer boundaries.
