Fun, Upbeat and Vivacious Atmosphere – This is the defination of a good time, great people, helpful service, awesome music, and hip crowd. It has amazing decor, creating this red lighting in the club. It makes everything so sleek and s e x y combined with drinks, and sing out long lyrics to your favorite songs. You'll have nothing but a memorable time. I had my 21st birthday party there and I was beyong happy. It's in the Meat Packing District with all the other hip clubs and this can only mean one thing, pricy drinks. They usually run about ($15) a cocktail. But, I highly recommend this place.

Amazing Hot Spot – This is by far the best place in the city. If you want a guaranteed fun night, then you have to get over to Wongs. The scene is fantastic, attractive crowd, great bartenders....a different and unique place and is sure to impress.

Bigots at the door! – Though I had previously read countless negative reviews about Suzie Wong's, I was still a bit curious to check it out considering a select few had told me that it was a "hot spot". So, one Saturday night two friends and I decide to go to this particular club as we were invited by one of the promoters I know. Unfortunately, we never actually made it inside even after asking for "Remi" at the door. Remi informed us after 20 minutes of waiting that only one of us could get inside after we watched tons of foreigners already enter the club as we waited. First of all, if only one of us wanted to go inside, then only one of us would of shown up at the door, and to make matters worse our promoter was also too much of an a-hole to come outside to help escort us in. Nevertheless, two weeks later I gave it another try and opted to go to Suzie Wong's again on July 4th after my first failed effort. This time, another promoter invited me and I told him I was also with a group of "hot" friends, which I say with little bias btw. When he comes to get us outside, he whispers to me that he cannot get us in because Remi only lets in clubbers of a "certain size" because that is what attracts men and that is, then, what attracts business. This i found absolutely ludicrous and dissuaded me from ever electing to show up at Suzie Wong's again. Furthermore, my "big" friends, were not ugly, unfashionable "men-repellers". In fact, one of them was there with her rich, Italian boyfriend. So, to make generalizations based on someone's race, size or any other social identifier is, not only rude, but demeaning. We ended up across the street at Home that night and had a really good time, proving that it's just not worth going to a place that honors a code based on prejudice.

Don't Waste Your Time with This Place! – I wish Citysearch would allow half a star because that's all this place deserves. We planned to go to Suzie Wong's for a friend's birthday and she was invited by a promoter who told her there would be no cover. Our group consisted of 12 girls and 6 guys. When we got to the door, the bouncer told him we would be required to get table service with 3 bottles at $300 each. Having been told that there would be no cover, most of the group wasn't prepared to shell out $75 in cash. We tried to negotiate with the bouncer who proceeded to tell us that "this is THE hottest club in the city." That was the last straw. With 4 other clubs on the same block (and Marquee right around the corner), all 18 of us highly doubted that Suzie Wong's was THE hottest club.

We ended up at Guest House right across the street; there was no cover at the door, no arrogant bouncers, the main room was house music but they also had a fun hip-hop room on the side, and the DJs and bartenders were great. Definitely glad we didn't end up at Suzie Wong's, especially after seeing all the bad reviews that came before mine.

Hassled by Asst Mgr – Giving 1star for the treatment I received from Asst Mgr named Remi.First the positive:Lovely ladies, the female bartenders&servers are attractive&pleasant, DJ was playing great music from Nirvana to Slick Rick. The negative: Asst Mgr Remi kicked me out of the club b/c he claimed I fell asleep standing up & therefore over-intoxicated. I was not sick, did not stumble on anybody&did not start any fights.I had my lean on (as in Fat Joe?s ?Lean Back?) so my standing posture were slightly askew and I also had sleepy Kwame eyes (For all you kids, Kwame was a 90?s rapper).I guess I was trying for a James Dean/Johnny Depp vibe.So I can see where the Asst Mgr Remi had a misconceived perception and kicked me out.But I was not drunk, I waited outside to talk to the Mgr to explain but I got stonewalled.I start giving compelling arguments about economic theory about private enterprise and the service industry.Just the fact I was able to make a cohesive argument with cognitive thought proved that I didn?t deserved to be kicked out of the club. Still stonewalled. I can?t be that drunk, because I am writing this the same night it happened.

To the power of CitySearch; While the Asst Mgr Remi is a bully dictator inside the club.

Outside the club, when I told him that I will write a review on CitySearch, his face dropped with stress & worry.I LOVE CitySearch, power to the people. I still like the club besides the treatment of Asst Mgr Remi. The course of action I plan to take is to register a complaint thru the 3rd party promoter that I signed the guest list on. And ask them to take their business elsewhere & stop patronizing this establishment.I hope it was misunderstanding and not that I was singled out because I looked ethnic or Puerto Rican, then I will register a complaint with the Better Biz Bureau.

I speaking my peace now to forewarn anyone who felt hassled by Asst Mgr Remi,to complain to upper Mgt and speak out your democratic voice with your dollars to stop this bullying.

Fabulous Saturday Night Spot – I had my birthday at Suzie Wong last weekend and had an absolutely awesome time. My friends and I (9 girls 1 guy) got in without waiting online. I should point out that I know a promoter for the place so that made it a lot easier. A group of my male friends couldn't get in however when they arrived later unless they bought a bottle, which they declined to do. Moral: Make sure girls outnumber guys 2:1 in your party or be willing to shell out for bottle service. Other than that it was great. It was crowded without being obnoxiously so. The crowd is very Manhattan, not at all B&T and overall pretty good looking. The music was phenomenal - a great combination of pop, rap, hip hop, and some 80s classics, spun together seamlessly. Drinks are pricey as usual (3 vodka tonics was about $45) but that's to be expected. All in all, great place, pretty red, Asian themed decor, a lot of fun. Do be nice to the head bouncer though - you def get more with honey than vinegar. And also, dress up!! Seriously no t-shirts or mediocre go out tops. Girls I recommend dresses or really trendy, upscale go out attire (read: not tunic tops and leggings).

Waste of time – Our group had a party reservation over the weekend and we spent more time arguing with the doormen about allowing guests in than could ever be considered reasonable. Completely unprofessional and a total waste of time. Decor was alright, ambience pretty typical of a decent-ish club. Restroom situation was completely ludicrous. 3 restrooms for the women with inept crowd control and restrooms were filthy. Music was ok - but too much R&B and hip hop. Ended up leaving after half an hour and have no intention of going back.

Biggest Jerks at the Door, ever!!!! – Another one of those meatheads who thinks that once he puts on a suit, he can get away with being an a-hole to anyone. I don't know. Just not worth my time.

bottle service is a rip off – I went with a group of girlfriends for a bachelorette party. They told us for 10 girls we would have to purchase 2 bottles at $200 each. When we got to the door they jacked it up to 3 bottles at $300 each. The doorman said it wasn't his fault that we were misquoted over the phone. We argued him back down to the original quote. Then, they refused to take more than 4 credit cards as payment. Some of us had to leave the club to get money at an ATM around the corner which is the last thing I wanna do when I'm paying $90 out of my own pocket for bottle service. 2 bottles of vodka is way too much alcohol for 10 girls. And, I agree the crowd was pretty good-looking. However, the other parties were totally crowding our area! We had to ask them to move. It's too bad the music is really good, but everything else was horrible.

RACISTS!!! – Need I say more?!? Probably not, but I'll continue. Went there on Saturday night with my girlfriends and we were rejected without remorse. Was it because they were full? Um... in a sense, I guess you could say that. I guess they had reached their quota of "colored folks". This was my first, and hopefully, last time experiencing racism in New York City. Needless to say, this establishment will never get my business or the business of my friends. Hopefully, within the year this place will be out of business.
