IF YOU LIKE COLD FOOD ,RREALLY BAD SERVICE AND HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT THAN THIS IS YOUR PLACE – the worst food the worst service the worst management in the world

this the title of my experience

it was supossed to be a fun birthday party that turned into a nightmare on every aspect of it

the food was cold(pasta and duck),we ordered drinks and the waitres(out of serving burgers at mac donalds) without even telling us changed that order on her own without even asking us....so from cuba libres we got rum and sprite...very original

the manager handeled so bad this situation it should go in the guines book.when we voiced our concern and furstration he casually said that tonite its a bussy night for us so ......................basically f...off

i would never go back its just not worth it .......not even for the decor......

they just dont know not even a thing about running a restaurant

horrible

This place is going downhill. Won't stay open long. – The first time we went, it was quite decent although much of the pasta with the calamari appetizer was undercooked which made the noodles cruncy and unedible. The 2nd visit was a disaster. I ordered the Muscovy Duck as an appetizer and emphasized that I wanted it cooked through to at least medium. It arrived, after my guest was finished his 2 appetizers, raw inside. I ordered 2 glasses of wine, the 2nd less expensive than the 1st but was charged the same higher price for both. I ordered the chocolate cake with hazelnut ice cream and it arrived with no ice cream. The restaurant was virtually empty on a Saturday night and it was obvious why. There are much better places in the neighborhood for less money such as Park Avenue Bistro.

best tapas in nyc – This had to be one of best experiences in a longtime. The food was out of this world, and the presentation was excuisite. If I could choose between a 3 star restaurant and prespa, they've got my vote. My girl was so impressed she made a reservation for that same weekend. Their new chef is amazing. He had sent an organic green olive tapenade, red pepper tomato jam, and homemade pitta bread as soon as we had ordered. Everything we ordered was served right on time. we started off wih a parmesan soup and white troufles, as well as black risotto with beet carpaccio, squid ink pasta with seared calamari, smoked lobster salad, and the beet cannellon. I then had short ribs(oh so tender),slowly braised, and black cod. The black cod was simply the best fish ever because not only was it cooked just right, but the crispy and flavorful skin it was served with, as well as the refreshing jicama simply put it on a ligue of its own. And can I also tell you: it ws the friendliest service. overall a big bravooo

very disappointed second time around. – We had originally went to Prespa for a friend's birthday. They had told us that they will come out with a new tapas menu.

When we went back the second time. They also told us they have a new chef as well. The new tapas 'only' menu and new chef was not comparable to the one they had before.

We only had 6 tapas because we cannot say much for the ones we've had. If they are charging so much for so little amounts of food it needs to be good!! The black risotto and cauliflower risotto was not nearly as good as the mushroom risotto on the old menu. My duck was cold and lacking taste. Lambchops also lacking taste. They brought us pitas when we sat down. Halfway thru they asked if we wanted more pitas but had neglected to tell us it is extra $3. Deja vu of Italy! We didn't find out until we got the bill. We wouldn't have ordered it if we knew!! It was just 6 tiny pieces of pitas size of your finger!

We all love Prespa – We recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Prespa. It was a cold and rainy Tuesday night and for the most of the night, we were the only party there. Bad for the owner and staffs but great for us since we got all the attention and were able to talk freely without worrying about disturbing other patrons. The waitress/hostee is very knowledgeable about items on the menu, and the specials of the day with a very good suggestion of pairing wine. The decor is very homey but yet elegant. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and you can adjust the lights in the restrooms. We shared the beets salad and risotto for appetizers. The portion was kind of small but taste was good. All of us but one ordered the lamb shank with cous cous which was perfectly seasoned. The "odd" one among our group had the red snapper, not as pretty as the one on their website but still very good in quality. Creme Bruless dessert came with Turkish coffee, and we ordered the chocolate molten cakes as well. All six of us left the restaurant with a smiling face. We didn't have a chance to enjoy the bar area but the nice couches there would definitely be a good place for a nap after such a satisfying meal. I can't wait to go back.

relax in elegance – Love going to Prespa for a taste of elegance on all fronts. It has recently opened and I'm glad it is there.

When I have a special date, I suggest Prespa for the romantic quiet setting. The wait staff really looks after the clients, and the food is terrific Mediterranean fare. Crazy about Prespa. It is exotic without being over the top, sophisticated and a great place to unwind.

Best food in Murray Hill! – I came here with my fiance the other night and we had the best time! We've both lived in this neighborhood for about 5 years and this is by far the best food we've had. The atmosphere is hip yet romantic, the music was great and the service was exceptional! Our waiter was so informative and was able to fully describe the dishes on the menu and suggested the perfect bottle of wine. He was also so attentive, we never had to ask for anything. We ordered their seviche to start that came with shrimp and calamari dressed in pink grapefruit and mint. The perfect summer dish and absolutley delicious! I then ordered the whole branzini that came with sauteed spinach, figs, and almonds. My fiance had the veal hangar and both were so good we agreed to share! This is exactly what the neighborhood needs and we will become regulars here! This is the best food in Murray Hill!!

Excellent Tapas!!! – Great new restaurant..not just for the neighborhood, but for Manhattan. I've been there 4 times now, excellent small dishes, as well as, tasty and plentiful main entrees. The mushroom escargo is unbelievable and the 4 or 5 different bruschetta sampler platter is amazing. The ambiance is refreshing and the service is great. The little old man, who is always there, is the owner and will greet and make you feel welcomed in his second Manhattan restaurant. It's a tough location, so hands down go and try it to make sure that it is a neighborhood keeper!! great for a bite to eat, a date, or with a larger group. Also fun to hang out for a few drinks at night on their front sidewalk forest of a patio.

Great addition to the neighborhood! – I ate in this restaurant 3x in the last week. Enough said!!!

Seriously, other than Artisanal, there's is no other restaurant of equal caliber in Murray Hill. In fact, the good was so good, it is worth traveling from other neighborhoods for. The service has been wonderful every single time that I've gone. They've even accommodated my very finicky requests. They had a rough start with a fire in a neighboring building that prevented their opening. Now that they are back on track, I genuinely wish them success. They deserve it!

(Try the salmon or duck!!!!)

Hidden gem! Definitely worth a try. – My wife and I ate at Prespa recently... we'd walked by it a number of times, and decided to finally try it. We both agreed we should have eaten there earlier. The space is phenomenal - mediterranean influenced, modern, clean and comfortable. The menu wasn't too large, and offered a good variety and diversity. The ability to get half portions of the entrees allowed us to sample multiple items, including an item from their tapas menu as well as their DELICIOUS pastas. The wine list provided a great selection from multiple regions, including a good selection from some of Napa's better small vineyards. The prices for the food and wine were excellent. We both agree that we WILL be eating here again.
