In Short
Like your bars dark and dingy? Step through the swinging red doors to enter these sunlight-deprived, cave-like confines, where half-moon booths and couches aplenty make perfect perches for all-night drinking sessions. A seat at the super-long bar offers a view of the nearly 20 taps, including hoppy Lagunitas IPA and local-fresh Sixpoint tipples, which'll help you shimmy during weekend DJ soirees. During the week, post-college cool kids battle one another in Skee-Ball, then sit at the Victorian-esque table outside to puff a smoke.
Hits: With an armada of bartenders and nearly 20 taps, you'll never have to wait long to wet your whistle, and the DJs drop deliciously danceable tunes.
Misses: Is Hugs a gaming paradise? A den for dancing? A drinker's refuge? The schizophrenic theme tends to leave the crowd equally confused.

This place has gotten better since they opened. They now have live music most nights of the week. I stopped by on a Wednesday night and a pretty damn good jazz trio was playing. Also, they now take card, so ignore the warnings about cash only.

This is one of the worst places I've been to in a long time based on the crowd and music. The drinks and interior design of the place were okay, but I felt like I was being tortured the one hour I had to stay there to meet someone.
