has its moments (but overall not impressive) – the wait was intolerable (we had a reservation), the wine glasses were filthy (covered in dishwasher residue) and the server disappeared for long stretches of time (despite the fact that we had a large party). furthermore, the markup on the wine is quite excessive (for a strip mall, suburban bistro with no live music). that being said, the food is actually quite tasty (when it finally arrives); i think i will try it again (on a slow night)!

Reasonably priced, chef-owned bistro in North Dallas features New American cuisine, eclectic wines and warm friendly service. – The Scene
This culinary gem located in a brightly lit strip mall on the Northeast corner of the Tollway and Frankford is a highlight for North Dallas residents. Elegant banquettes lead to a cozy wine space that houses the chef's table with a view of chef-owner, James Rowland, at the helm of the kitchen. The intimate bar area with casual bistro tables is ideal for a pre-dinner cocktail or a glass of wine from the hand-picked wine list. Servers are knowledgeable and accommodating.

The Food
Signature warm spinach endive salad, tossed with pungent St Andre cheese on top of a warm potato galette is a simple and yet skillfully prepared dish. Sweet meaty crab cakes served with a Cajun leek sauce is a popular appetizer. The bouillabaisse features a generous medley of lobster, mussels, clams and jumbo shrimp. Desserts such as chocolate peanut butter pie will transform new diners into 'nous' diners.

Hits: The "10 items for $10" lunch specials include an entrée, soup du jour, and choice of lemonade or iced tea.

Misses:
Monthly changes to the menu means that what diners ate previously may not be available on a second visit.
