This place will lie to you, be careful ! I boarded my precious baby there and when i picked her up i noticed she was closing one eye. when i asked the kennel person what happened, they said i don't know, and acted like they could care less. i asked if she took her meds ok and the kennel person said oh yea just fine. she should have had 4 pills left, SHE HAD 11 !! Which means she wasn't even getting her meds or they were giving her some other dogs meds. i had to take her to the vet about her eye, her eyeball had been scratched, cost 220.00 !! She also had urine on her feet and belly. i left messages for the owner to call me but i never got a call from her. I feel so bad about taking her there, i should have listened to my friend who used to go there but stopped going because her dog was getting hurt in daycare at least once a week, because they are not monitored like they say they are. Just check it out for yourself, when do you ever see a daycare person with the dogs in front? that's why i didn't put my dog in daycare when i boarded her. The receptionists was rude when i picked her up, never even smiled, just rushed me through the process. I don't like this place , i don't trust this place, and i would never recommend anyone to go there.
Very personable and friendly people work here. The level of training success my dogs experienced during the bootcamp is so worth the money and time. If you love your dog, bring them here.
Lucy has been training at Barks 5th Avenue, and it is going very well. I have seen great improvements. Thank you so much. I will definitely tell all my friends.
I had my dog Olivia trained here in 2013. SHe continues to come here for doggy day care and she loves it. We love Barks! =)
Penny is the best Trainer Ever!!! Our dog Bullet loves his baths/spa day at Barks 5th Ave.
We used Barks 5th Avenue for their puppy training camp and could not have asked for better results. We had a 5 month old Rottweiler. We love Penny and her staff. We searched around Houston for puppy training camps and were not happy with what we saw when we went to the facility, then we came upon Barks! the facility was clean and well taken care off! The staff there are so friendly and caring for the animals. We even use them for daycamp! I have a piece of mind when I drop Bear off at Barks knowing my puppy will be taken care of and not come home sick, which we have had at other daycamp facilities. Barks is NOT a joke and I was not bribed to post this review. I have referred several friends to Barks and they have been extremely happy with the service that is provided there!
Did you know that almost all of the good reviews posted on here are from customers that were bribed with a huge discount on their next visit if they went to city search and wrote a good review? and employees as well..... well its true. And The owner will totally freak out if you dare try using a 10 percent off coupon more than once. why offer them and then cause a big scene and embarrass the customer presenting the coupon. I will never go back to barks because of the owner. she speaks as though she never made it out of grade school. not a very intelligent person at all, and her customer skills ????? terrible !!!!! she should not be in business, its obvious she has no idea how to run a business. whos behind the scenes penny because it sure is not YOU that has made it last as long as it has. !!!! and whats up with the mary jane perfume ?? barks is a joke , don't go there if you care about your dog.
I will NOT be taking my dog to this place after reading these horrible reviews. It angers me that people will treat innocent dogs so terribly. It's hard to find a good place that will actually take care of your dog.
I love Barks 5th Avenue. When I recently moved to Houston, I was attracted to this shop because it had a similar name to the one I had used in Las Vegas. I was so pleased and I take my poodle Betty Lou there for grooming. Alisha Spencer also recommended the Instinct Raw dog food for her. I switched her and it is the best decision I ever made. Thanks to Alisha and her wonderful staff I have found a pet grooming and food home in Houston.
Staff was very friendly and knowledgable of "dog intended" products. Helped me decide my diet for my then puppy, Myles, which is grain free/raw food diet. He absolutely loves the duck feet and bully sticks too!!! Utilized the grooming services, Sara was excellent and Myles looked great! It was his very first grooming experience and there were no issues.
