HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! – DO NOT DINE HERE! First of all I have dined at the restaurant several times and have been a regular since 2006 and I have not had any issues until now. I visited this establishment on March 15, 2010, with a friend. First of all most of the workers in the restaurant do not speak very good English. When we arrived there was no hostess to greet us, and we had to wait about 10 minutes for her to arrive. Then it took about an additional 25 minutes for the waiter to arrive. Next I ordered a coconut paradise alcoholic drink and the waiter who could barely speak English, asked if I wanted a coke! When he brought me the drink it was not what I ordered. So the waiter sent over the bartender who said that he used a dark coconut flavor instead of the white coconut because they had ran out. No one told me this prior to getting the drink so I sent it back. In addition the waiter didn't ask to see my ID before placing the drink order. Then my friend ordered sauteed vegetables and chicken fried rice as her entree. I ordered the hibachi shrimp and doubled chicken fried rice. The waiter and the chef confirmed that I wanted a double order, however they did not ask my friend if she wanted a double order of sauteed vegetables. Upon receiving our bills I asked the server to provide me and my friend with separate bills. He gave us one and again I had to request two. Upon receiving our bills my friend discovered that she was charged $15.95 for her vegetables. We prompted the server who tried to insist that she had a double order of the sautéed vegetables which she did not request and which she did not know she had received because she had never order this item previously. I had to request for the server to bring over the menu several times in order for us to point out what she had ordered and again he insisted she requested a double order which she didn't. He called over our other server who accused of us lying. The server got the manager who was very nasty and accused us of lying. He supposedly checked with the chef and the server and they both verified that she ordered the doubled vegetables, and that he could not do anything because she consumed the meal. I told the manager that she did not know that her order was doubled and was not informed of such. I informed the manager I have often dined at the restaurant and he did not care and said bluntly that if we dined there often then we should know what we are ordering. The server attempted to talk over me denying any wrong doing. The manager refused to adjust the bill until I kept advising him of his unfairness. He eventually relented and said that he was going to adjust the bill "this ONE time". The adjustment was only about $8.00 however our entire bill was $62.00. informed the manager of the restaurant that me and my friend had dined at the establishment several times and he told me and my friend if we had been to the restaurant so many times then we should know what we are ordering. This was a very insulting remark and made us feel as if he did not appreciate our business. My friend had never ordered the sautéed vegetables before, and chose it as a meal for health conscious reasons. I spoke with a manager at another location name "Shane" to voice a complaint about the events of March 15. He portrayed himself as apologetic and insisted he would makes some calls and investigate the issue, and would get back with me. I never heard back from "Shane" and I decided to call him back a week later. He claimed that he spoke with the management at the location I dined at, however he gave me no resolution or details as to what was discussed.

Usually it's good and good service, but my girlfriend and i went in there a couple of fridays ago and i don't know if i will go back.We went in sat at the bar ordered two beers, the cost was four dollars, i gave the bartender twenty dollars, she gave me four dollars back, thinking i gave her ten dollars.I told her i gave her twenty dollars, she argued with me she said i was wrong.I told her to get the manager over, explained what happened to the manager after fifteen minutes of talking he gave me the correct change back, with no apology. While we got that resolved the bartender continued to give ME dirty, mean looks everytime she walked by me, to the point where it was uncomfortable to even enjoy the evening. We left twenty minutes after we finished our drinks. The bartender was a female blonde hair and my girlfriend and i observed her before we left, she was obviously drunk, stumbling around, pushing wrong buttons on the credit card machine, her eyes were even dialated, probably the reason she could not count or remeber what the currect currency i gave her.Like i said, good food bad service, don't know if i will go back, probably go to the one on Kirby Dr next time

Great sushi, below par service – Sushi was great in my opinion, especially the FM Rolls. However, the service was HORRIBLE! We ate a late lunch, around 3PM on a Sunday, and there were maybe only 15 people in the restaurant, however, we only saw our waiter three times during the whole 1hr+ that we were there.

All that said, I would definitely go back for the sushi. The place turns into a club at night, but Ive never been for that. The decor and the interior is a worn out, with damage to the ceilings and walls in some places. The bar is large and seemed to be the popular place to eat at the time. All in all, a good sushi house.

Good meeting place for the area!! – I am sorry to see someone had a bad experience there... I agree that there are better sushi places in Htown but I have eaten at thisTokyohana many times and never found the problems the last reviewer did. We sometimes just pop in to sit and have a beer at the bar. The bartenders are all very friendly and even comp'd me a beer while I waited for a friend once. They have a decent happy hour and I often meet a friend there. It happens to be about midway between us. I nearly always eat sushi there and it has always been fresh and tasty... I love sushi!!

So I say go give it a try!
