Trump International Hotel – We stayed at the Trump for the first time and loved it!! They put us in a beautiful room on the 42nd floor. The bathroom was all marble. We had a huge jetted tub...which was a wonderful surprise. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and our check-in went smooth-done in 2-3 minutes. The only unpleasant thing we encountered was the service in the DJT restaurant..very slow, and our food was cold after waiting 45 minutes. The manager made it right though & we didn't have to pay for it. The pool is small, but we loved that there was no smoking. Loved the palm trees around the pool though.
The hotel is just a short walk to the Wynn, which we loved..the hotel has a free shuttle to the strip..so it worked well. We loved our stay there..the service was good, the housekeeping staff very friendly. It's a must stay!!!!
The trump las vegas – THE TRUMP HOTEL is wonderful,to say the least! We stayed in a marvellous apartment suite at the beginning of our holiday and then in a studio at the end, which was equally as good. The furniture was of good standard as were the furnishings not to mention the well equipped kitchen. As for the beds(I'm also referring to the sofa bed) they were luxury itself! The linens were trully Eygptian cotton and the towels were not only ample for four guests but they were soft and smelled great too.
As for the very negative remarks I've read here l would like to say that the TEN minute walk from the strip wasn't an issue for us as we took the Trump shuttle to Ceasars and back and if it was ever full we were driven there in the ' house ' jeep. The view from our bathroom picture window , let alone our bedroom , was far better than the view l had at the other hotels in Vegas l've stayed in ( and for which l've paid a lot more money eg the 28th floor in the Palace forum at Ceasars , Deluxe Suite ).Finally l would like to add that l have travelled the world extensively but have yet to stay in a better hotel so go for it...the Trump and again the Trump.
I only wish there was a hotel like it in London or Athens where l live.
TRUMP'S WORST MISTAKE EVER! TRAINS IN THE BEDROOMS!!! – Donald Trump built the hotel-condo Trump International Tower and saw reservations sell out, but a year on has managed to close on just 23 percent of the 1,286 units. His second tower has been postponed indefinitely.
MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:
I've just returned from Trump Int'l Las Vegas (I've just been told it's now downgraded to Trump Hotel Las Vegas), and it's been THE worst experience of my life!!! First, they lied to me at every turn when I reserved the two rooms--told me ANYTHING to get my money. When I arrived, EVERYTHING they promised me upfront was a lie. They added TWO $15-per-day fees to EACH room (resort fee) without telling me, even though I inquired. The hotel is located in an industrial area right next to train tracks...and TRAINS blast their ghastly horns all night every night--like HOURLY--sometimes four or five blasts at a time. Obnoxious Trump manager reluctantly moved us to the 42nd floor, and it was just as bad up there. There is no soundproofing in the hotel. The maid service is dreadful, and the bathrooms had some buggies crawling! One potty seat was broken, and it was necessary to tip a maid to get toilet tissue--it's SUPPOSED to be there already! The bed was so hard that I slept on the couch (an hour at a time in between train blasts!!! )The facility itself looks posh, but it ends there. I was told to arrive early and they'd upgrade us to a Strip-View room for free. Check out all of Trump's pictures with full strip view in the windows. Folks, there is NO strip view from the Trump!!! And they will charge you $50 for NOTHING! Trump Hotel is a couple blocks away from the strip in the industrial district. From one side we saw tops of industrial buildings, from the 'strip side' we saw the top of Circus Circus!!! That's it. More lies from them. They're masters at using Paintshop Pro to make everything look good--that's FRAUD!!! They sent me pictures of the rooms we'd have (two of them) and, when we arrived, we were put in other rooms--nowhere close to the pictures they sent. When I called it to their attention, they said, "Oh that's a mistake but we'll 'upgrade' you for an additional $100/day." Isn't that called 'false advertising?" I could go on for days about the trip they absolutely ruined for us, but I just walked in the door at home and it's 2:AM...the first thing I did was to come to my computer and tell all of you--travelers, companies, condo buyers--EVERYONE!!! Do NOT get roped into the TRUMP INTERNATIONAL LAS VEGAS HOTEL SCAMS!!! It looks beautiful and has some very posh decorating to entice you, but IT IS NO BARGAIN!!! And I went to Las Vegas to buy a condo there--NOT!!! NOT!!! NOT!!! BEWARE!!!
Beautiful hotel – I loved the Trump! For the money we paid, we got a great room, so comfortable, so beautiful, clean, great service every single day. Our cleaning personnel was so friendly, and I will only stay at Trump from now on!
Absolute Ripoff... Don't waste your time here!! – After the hotel was fully booked and confirmed, we arrived and they forced us to pay an additional MANDATORY daily $15 (plus tax) charge for nonsense like using the pool, newspaper in the room, and useless stuff that are automatically included with every other hotel. You have no option to decline this fee, and I think It's absolutely ridiculous.
Then, they claim to be "steps away from the strip", but they're more like a 20 minute walk away from the strip.
Also, ALL of their rooms have only ONE bed and an uncomfortable pullout bed.
Lastly, we had a very loud and constant whistling noise in our room, as if the windows were leaking wind noise.
Overall, considering that it was supposed to be 5 star resort, I think it sucked REAL REAL REAL bad.
Be Prepared to Wait! – We had requested a 12:30pm check in and arrived at 2:20pm (official check-in time is at 3:00pm). Our room was not ready since they "were full last night" (which is doubtful from what we've seen & heard). Also, whether or not they were full is not a customer's concern; it's up to their management to ensure that rooms are ready for the guests on time. It was then that we noticed that the lobby/lounge area was completely full of people waiting for their rooms. We were given an option to wait (for an unspecified amount of time) for the room or leave our bags with the bellhop (for tip). We were not offered any compensation until we checked back (they waived the $14/day valet fee). Only after my friend was on the phone with them for nearly a full hour, did we get the keys to the room at around 3:30pm, but everyone else was still waiting for their rooms; some since Noon! When we went back out around 4:15pm, the same people were still waiting. At around 6:15pm, even more people were waiting both in the check-in line and in the lobby/lounge!
There is also a fee for smoking in the room. I don't smoke, but apparently the people in the adjoining room do, so the doorway area and our room kept smelling of smoke, so I had to call reception/security about it. Nevermind, the odor when it was promised to be smokefree... Also even on the 39th floor, we could hear the trains & traffic the whole night!
Reviews had talked about the long wait for the valet (for us 15 minutes at an off-peak time), so we opted for cabs at peak times. However, the queue for the cabs so we crossed the street to Nordstrom to get a cab there instead.
At time of checkout, they had the valet fee on the bill, which I had to remind them that they'd promised to waive. All in all, the hotel ended up being the sole source of stress during our vacation. The room was almost identical to the MGM Signature. I would highly recommend staying at the MGM Signature instead -- tas it is much more better managed.
