Chalkboard lists it all - flavors, toppings, shake or sundae options. Taste everything, they allow it. You'll come back to either a seasonal flair (lavender) or salted caramel, they're staple. Put it in a cone, house made.

Molly Moon's is the best on 45th – If your looking for unique ice cream with a fun little space to eat it in, try Molly Moon's. The ice cream is smooth and tasty and the freshly made waffle cones are delish. I have had the rasberry sorbert, which is a bright playful color that is good for kids. I normally hate sorbert because it is full of artifical flavoring, but not Molly's. There is real fruit in every lick. I've also enjoyed the salted carmel. I didn't fully enjoy how salty it was, so after awhile I got tired of the taste. I would suggest eatting on the go because the small shop doesn't host too many sits. Most of the time they are filled with children and it can make the place noisy, but hey its an ice cream place and that just screams for children to be there. I would recommend trying the unique flavors here and I can't wait to go back to try some more.

Over the Moon for Molly Moon's! – After hearing all the hype about the new ice cream place in town, we decided to give it a try. My dad loves ice cream, so we ventured over to Molly Moon's for lunch on Sunday.

We arrived around 1-ish and there was a line but it didn't go out the door, and looked promising...until the woman four up from us decided to order three handmade milkshakes (and did I mention that there was only one rather frazzled-looking woman behind the counter?). So, the entire rest of the line waited patiently while the ice-cream-scooper-extraordinaire did her thing and created each of the milkshakes. First, we all oohed and aahed over the flavors. then came the debate over one, two scoops, or *gasp* a banana split? Then we all noted the decor that screamed "sustainability" all around. Next we noted the delicious looking cherry and fudge toppings displayed on a nearby shelf. At that point, we all began top shuffle our feet and search for other topic-worthy notables. After discussing the finer points of using a wooden spoon for tasting, the shake woman was finally handing over her twenty dollar bill and things began to look up.

The moment I looked up at the flavor board, I knew my diet was out the window and I decided to try for the most flavor impact possible within two scoops of ice cream. I tried the salted caramel (absolutely wonderful, but just a hint too salty for my taste) and the honey lavender. The honey lavender was the star of the bowl! A gorgeous, meltingly decadent mix of creamy honey and tickle-the-tongue lavender bits. Every bite conjured the amazing endless lavender fields in Sequim.

My beau decided to try the scout mint, which was very good, but not spectacular. My folks opted for chocolate and vanilla, both were very delicious and tops within their old-guard flavor fields.

I will be back again to bow at the altar of the temptress that is Molly Moon, and my next target is cardamom (and possibly balsamic strawberry)!!!

Best Ice Cream I've Ever Tasted – I've been in twice so far and I am officially obsessed with their salted caramel ice cream. I love salted caramels, love ice cream, so it's inevitable that my taste buds would flip for this dreamy combo. I've had samples of the maple walnut (mmm), cardamom (flavorful, so it's perfect for small scoops), thai iced tea (yum!) and balsamic strawberry (weird in a good way), but I'm going to have to stick with the caramel for a while. I also like that they use compostables and actually provide a compost bin.

Sad portions, bad service – We drove by this place on Saturday and were excited to check it out. Who doesn't love homemade ice cream?

I got a good vibe when we walked in with the cute atmosphere and long line. I knew it had to be good. But while waiting I noticed how the owner was treating her employee. Snapping at her in front of people, asking her to do ridiculous things (rearrange the spoons she just put in a cup?!?) and telling her "what are you doing? I feel like you are just wandering around!". I was so embarassed for her. When we ordered I asked for the "scout" mint. The scoop was $3 for a single, $4.50 for a double. Of course I order a single. It was the saddest scoop ever! I thought it was a the kiddie cone! My bf ordered a strawberry shake. It was white as milk and was the same consistency. It looked like a 12 oz cup and was $5. So $8ish later was had a tiny cone and a glass of milk.

Walking down the street he couldn't handle it any longer and threw it away. What a disappointment! We ended up walking down the street to the local hamburger joint and getting a $1.90 shake there.

Save your money and go elsewhere!!
