My boyfriend and I have been going there for around 5 years. We are seniors and the price is good for our income. The food is great and I love their crab rangoons.
They also have a food bar where you can pick what ever you want and as much as you want
Besides having Chinese food they now have Japanese food..
Best in the area.
This place is great, I'm 23 and have been going here my entire life, or at least for as long as I can remember. At one point, there was one extremely unfriendly waitress. I would be in this place once a week and for some reason always got stuck with her. One day, apparently our tip wasn't enough for her so she leaned over out table, held her hand out and said "I need 15%" we were like, "huh?" so she repeated it, we handed her 1 dollar and apparently that made it just the right amount. That is the only negative thing I have to say. And regardless she doesn't work there anymore.
They have the best wonton soup, best food, they make everything there, some nights when the place is empty I get to see 2-3 women there make the crab rangoons by hand at a table in the corner which is nice to see. Their portions are extrememly generous and the price is right. The drinks are good too, I would say to skip on soda because is the only thing there that is a ripoff.
They have a great lunch buffet which I would say is the best time to go there for that consider it's half the cost of the dinner buffet and it's the same thing. Can't go wrong with finishing your meal with a softserve icecream cone!!
I am a huge fan of the Jordan chicken, their beef lo mein, and peking raviolis, their tea, scallion pancakes, the duck with the wraps and purple stuff (plum sauce?) is the best!! Pretty much everything there is good. Everything tastes fresh.
the staff is very friendly
if you go to the bar at night there is the same older lady at the bar (she has been there anytime i have gone there at night and sit in that room) and anytime ive been there its not sports on that tv, its what that lady wants to watch which are dancing shows and american idol type shows in which she will critique each contestant (like she knows whats shes talking about but really doesnt know) so loud everyone in that room can hear, and after a couple drinks that might get annoying to most people to sit and listen to.
stay away from the bathroom.... i dont know about the mens room but the womens room i only use if i absolutly have to which is when im drunk, otherwise hold it!!
this place has the best food.... dont get me started on imperial buffet which yes i have come across people who like it over milford mandarin.... crazy i know!!
i have turned many people onto the milford mandarin... and i still recommend it to everyone!!
A first. In 30+ years of dining, I have never ordered a regular entree at a Chinese restuarant that did not come with some kind of rice. The rice must be purchased separately at Milford Mandarin, in an effort to advertise a lower price than the customer will actually pay. The food was OK, a little syrupy and sticky. I had ordered takeout, and they did not provide utensils either. Utensils cost money!
CRAB RANGOONS!!!. Every single person I have brought to the Mandarin has left 100% happy. I have been eating at the Mandarin for seven years now and every time I am in milford - I get take-out. We have tried at least 15 other chinese food places for Crab Rangoons and nothing compares to these. every item is incredible. Call to find out when buffet is and go!
