Best Italian in North Beach. We've been in north beach for over a year and this is the only italian food we've loved. It's new york, family style. Our favorite is the parmesan shrimp.

Joseph Manzare and childhood buddy Eddie Maiello team up to open this old-school, New York-style Italian sauce house with classic pastas and meat dishes, like chicken parmesan and pork chops.. Dark wood, dim lights and red accents create a dramatic and classy atmosphere for family-style dining. Matching dark wood chairs with black leather seats dominate the dining space, while cream-colored wicker chairs brighten the area by the windows. The menu features both familiar and daring fare, all served family style, which is optimal for sharing. Patrons can choose from appetizer items such as baked stuffed artichoke or the salami plate. Main courses are divided into past and meat-and-fish categories, each featuring a wide variety. Diners can choose from spaghetti with meatballs and chicken parmesan to linguine fra diavolo and pork braciole. Desserts feature Italian favorites such as tiramisu and panna cotta. A large bar with two widescreen flat TVs and high bar stools provides a vibrant, comfortable area for an aperitif or late-night drink.
